15 here in upstate South Carolina but the wind chill makes it feel more like 5! I can handle the cold but the wind really bites.

DWAlphaGam 12-20-2004 10:11 AM

The thermometer on the bank this morning said 5 F. The weatherman says that with the wind chill, it's -10. The hairs in my nose froze together when I went outside this morning to start my car. This sucks.

aephi alum 12-20-2004 10:19 AM

9 F here. -8 F with the wind chill.

All you Florida people, quit yer bitchin' about how "cold" it is there :p

But when you're used to 70+ degrees for 11 months out of the year, 41 is hard to get used to.

Oh, excuse me - did I just gloat??? ;) :D

Ha ha...

I had to laugh when I saw this...

When I was younger, and Dad was active duty Air Force, we lived in BOTH Iceland and Alaska, where temperatures would get to -35 and -40 below zero.

Somehow, 15 degrees just doens't seem that cold anymore...

Hubby, on the other hand, can't stand anything below 45 degrees..he freaks when there is ice on the windshield.

But the reason many of us live in Florida is so that we don't have to deal with cold weather! So, 30° is cold for us! :)

PhiPsiRuss 12-20-2004 03:17 PM

Everyone stop with the negative attitude.

Think happy, sunny thoughts.

That's what I did when I was sunbathing on my roof today.

GreenKappa 12-20-2004 03:26 PM

i wish it was warm and sunny. alas it was negative 11 with wind chill this morning. and i live in virginia..its not supposed to be this cold.

sigtau305 12-20-2004 06:14 PM

It's 11 degrees here now

CanadianTeke 12-20-2004 06:58 PM

I spent all day working outside in Toronto at Downsview Air Force Base --- when we started the shift at 8am it was -37 Celcius with the wind, that converts to around -35F. It didn't get much better throughout the day. Thankfully tomorrow it's supposed to be a balmy 2 degrees (35F).

Unregistered- 12-20-2004 10:47 PM

A "cold front" is headed our way this week.

They expect temps to dip as low as the mid 60s. :p See, Florida and California have ok weather, but it never gets below 60 here. If it does, it's very rare. The last time we were in the 50s was many, many years ago.

Still 80 degrees outside, muthafcukas!

ENVY ME!

mu_agd 12-20-2004 10:50 PM

RACooper 12-21-2004 12:28 AM

Last night was great!

-25C or -13F

Perfect weather for makin' a rink in the backyard :)

HBADPi 12-21-2004 01:32 AM

9 Degrees out in the burbs of Boston. I had the brillant idea of taking the commuter train into Boston to finish my christmas shopping and the damn train was 35 minutes late! I thought I'd never feel my toes again...and to think I was in sunny LA two days ago where it was 80 but despite the weather still gotta love my red sox nation ;).

lifesaver 12-21-2004 03:03 AM

It was 70 here today, but it was really windy, so there was a chill in the air. lol.

Its supposed to be near 80 here tomorrow. Really puts one in the holiday mood. Dont feel bad tho, its supposed to drop to the 50's for highs by Christmas.

i could have warned you about the mbta! it's been running sooooo horribly for the past few weeks. i've been constantly waiting out in the cold for T's forever! where in the burbs are you?

KSigkid 12-21-2004 07:42 AM

6 degrees outside this morning according to Weather.com. After Christmas shopping yesterday I think my face is permanently frozen.

ShaedyKD 12-21-2004 08:52 AM

45 right now, but you'd think it was -45 by the way people dress. I'm talking gloves, scarf, hat, winter coats...I love Floridians, they crack me up!

By tomorrow it'll be 75. I'm dreaming of a white (sand beach) Christmas!

I think of Temperatures in Celsius...so most of the time when I see F, I have to convert it to C to know how cold it is.

Well okay then... I'll make it easy... the night in question was as I said -25C or -13F... or with the windchill -40 C/F at that point it's all the same... damned cold.

Still didn't stop me from spending the entire night spraying water out back to make a rink... which is now fully operational :D

You may constantly get owned by Rudey, but that's a DAMN brilliant thing to do man......we barely get cold enough to not need ice, so a rink's out of the quesiton.

AGDee 12-21-2004 08:01 PM

After waking up to a temp of 0 F yesterday, today's temp of 35+ F felt great!

sigtau305 12-22-2004 01:14 PM

It's supposed to be 33 degrees and a BIG snow storm is nearing.

chideltjen 12-22-2004 01:56 PM
