I quit using condoms at the end of my first freshman year, it just got to the point where I couldn't get off anymore.

I dunno try those new Avanti condoms from Durex; maybe you should try them, meant to be more of a natural feel? Or just try different ones, Trojan has a big range.

Yes, it's dangerous, but I just didn't give a phuck. STDs aren't as big of a threat as people think they are, either that or I'm just really lucky.

Disagree with this... STDs are a big threat, it isn't as if every other person is HIV+, no. But there are many other such diseases there and yes, if you have unprotected sex with them you may not catch it - you may be "lucky" as you call it. It's like solvent abuse, a kid could sniff hairspray or whatever or light matches after spraying it, 99 times and be okay. And then the 100th time (or any time) that could be the end of him/her. Sex isn't meant to be a passport to death with a possibility that the next time/partner could be the one that gives you a disease. Like someone said, it's risk management, and responsibility.

Its true about 20% of the people in this country have either Genital Warts or Herpes....one or the two. Believe me, I've done a lot of research on STDs. To my knowledge the only things you can't get rid of are Herpes, G.W., HIV/AIDS. Pennicillin will kill everything else. My theory on it all is, Herpes and GW wont kill you or make you sick. And if you get HIV/AIDS, unless you're Magic Johnson, you're phucked anyways.....so why worry about shit?

This is where the a) wanting to know for yourself and b) if you do know then not wanting to infect and probably ultimately kill others OR of course wanting to help make sure others who have it & may not know - or may know and may keep it secret - from giving it to you. Oh and as for Herpes not making you 'sick' it's hard to to know what your "lot of research' involved : - ) (!) but symptoms of herpes during outbreaks are painful sores and blisters, pain + bleeding, flu like symptoms, painful urethral infections etc. And, being something you'd have for life, the symptoms can reoccur at any time. The genital warts STD meanwhile is reported to have the potential to cause cervical cancer in women - that would make them sick.
As for Magic Johnson being cured, try doing a search, here's one article: http://www.natap.org/2002/Nov/112502_2.htm "Michelle Lopez, a community activist in NYC, asked him during the extensive question and answer period to address the misconception people have that Magic was "cured". He carefully explained that he is not cured, that HIV is not curable today, and that probably he would be on medication for HIV for the rest of his life.
