Wow. Quota last year was 43. I heard Iowa State had some problems, but that is a huge drop off.

PiPhiERDoc 08-23-2020 07:21 PM

Looks like lots of happy faces at South Carolina and UGA today.
So far, doesn’t seem like numbers most places where recruitment has occurred has suffered too much from COVID and virtual recruitment.

But for heaven’s sake...can the “baby” whatever’s PLEASE be a trend that finally goes away?????

The Baby Trend must have skipped out a few years, this is the first I've heard of it again since 2014. Back then I thought more than a few NPCs made it clear collegians were NOT to use those types of phrases; someone had better show our younger sisters those older memos.

School enrollment has been steadily dropping the past few years. They didn't have 500 people signed up for recruitment until like two days before it started.

Weren't they also contending with a hurricane during Recruitment?

tcsparky 08-24-2020 09:25 AM

Our SC chapter is relatively "new," and I am excited to see it doing so well! That can bea very competitive campus, too.

PKTKKG 08-24-2020 09:58 AM

Kappa Kappa Gamma at South Carolina had 101!

I understand freshman quota was 82, upperclass quota was 11.

A derecho, so sort of? They're storms described as inland hurricanes. Although I've been told that nobody dropped due to it, it just pushed back recruitment by two days. A majority of the Greek houses were without power for around 30 hours.

Honeychile, it sure FELT like a hurricane! The aftermath has been a long experience throughout the midwest, too.

I don't know what quota was. Do you think more women went through recruitment or more were placed? I was very impressed with the placement percent I saw on GC for Alabama.

VERY happy to note Wisconsin's continued success in growing their number of sorority chapters! Can't believe it's been six years since my Aunt's Alpha Xi Delta chapter @UW was invited to recolonize.

Not sure if this has been reported, but I read that quota at LSU was 107 and all houses made quota. Seems like many schools are making the best of “recruitment in the time of COVID-19”!

Not to stray off topic but Pi Phi had a Super Mario themed bid day! The shirts they had were adorable. https://www.instagram.com/p/CEe8anIBdFv/

It is way off topic, especially for this thread. You knew it but went ahead anyway. Look at all the other posts. No personal opinions, just facts and data on recruitment results. That's the purpose of this thread. Save the fluff for another thread.
