Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? I seen you 'round for a long long time I really 'membered you when you drink my wine Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? I seen you walkin' down in Chinatown I called you but you could not look around Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? I bring my money to the welfare line I see you standing in it every time Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? The color of your skin don't matter to me As long as we can live in harmony Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? I'd kinda like to be the President so I can show you how your money's spent Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Sometimes I don't speak too bright but yet I know what I'm talking about Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? I know you're working for the CIA they wouldn't have you in the Mafia Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? Why can't we be friends? |

He meant L = Lambda as in "First letter of the word"
It's still the Greek letter, but the spelling of it like that is latin... or something to that extent. And I personally don't think it matters how you spell it. LXA and LCA are teh same thing to me, but for what it's worth, when I had our letters monogramed on a visor, the guy tried converting "LXA" to the greek, and got Lambda Eta Alpha, but "LCA" worked fine. Just food for thought. A brother of LX(C)A |

ΛΧΑ.....ΛΞΑ.....
LCA......LXA..... I think we know what one actually means something.. and LamChi is not a sorority so stop acting like bishes |
and Albert,.... Javais not nearly as cool as action script... but Mark-Up languages aren't nearly as cool as actual programming...
|
I've always preferred either "ΛΧΑ" or spelling out Lambda Chi Alpha myself.
I think everyone got a little too heated over a small thing. In the end don't we know what someone is talking about whether they abbreviate it "LXA" or "LCA"? Anyway, I wonder if our other brother got that brand after all. |

Jono, stop being that kid that reminds the teacher that she forgot to assign that night's homework.
No one likes that. |

If so, I only put in my input because myself and a group of Brothers were talking about getting together and doing this, but somehow we never got around to it. I dont think we ever seemed to get everyones money together to actually buy the brand. I just wanted to let the Brothers who were interested in doing this that they should attempt it in a more responsible manner. |
Well, if you do decide to do it I just want to point the TRUE stories I told of my little brother, Jimmy Aguilera, and his classic example of how NOT to give yourself a brand... or a tongue piercing... or a ride after class to your big brother.

Alls I know is-If some one fucks with Mr Earp (LamChi#1) then I will get them to bleed... I know It could be the alc talking but I did just come from a 13 kegger.... with only locals supporting junior wrestling... man i am fucked up.. wheres my pizza

To try and bring this back to the original topic, ever since I mentioned to my girlfriend that I was thinking about getting a LXA-related tattoo, she has been pressing me to do so - because she thinks it's cool and knows how much LXA means to me. I was thinking about Delta Pi on one ankle and Zeta Alpha Chi on the other. Basically, I feel that if it's discreet (meaning covered by pants, a t-shirt, and/or socks and shoes, it's okay. If it's not demeaning or disrespectful to Lambda Chi Alpha, it's okay. If it's not blatantly flaunting membership (e.g.: tattooing your forehead), it's okay. I'm not pretending to be an expert on the subject of permissibility of LXA tattoos, but I would wager that thousands.. nay, tens of thousands of our brethren have some sort of LXA tattoo - even if only 1% of our entire membership ever was tattooed or branded, that would be thousands of brothers. Hopefully, I'll have a tasteful LXA tattoo or two to show off when we all gather next year in Indianapolis for our 100th. |
