Looks like LSU has had to postpone the beginning of recruitment because of the flooding that is currently happening.Today would have been move in day for pmn's and icewaters would have started on Sunday with bid day on Saturday. As of now icewaters will all be on Tuesday and bid day will be Sunday. Of course this could all change again. The rain is still coming down and flooding is happening all over the state.

My Bama girl joined AOPi! I'm very happy for her.

Final update on my four 'Bama girls from the Queen City Rec Crew: 1 KD, 1 AOPi, 1 Gamma Phi Beta, and 1 KAPPA KAPPA GAMMA!!!!!! Yeah...I'm just a little happy! Actually very happy that all of these girls found a home at Alabama!!

My Auburn girl went Phi Mu. My own daughter started rush today at Arkansas and I am a nervous wreck!

One Bama rec went Gamma Phi Beta! Waiting to hear from the rest!

OK State - I have an Alpha Delta Pi!

Heard from my Alabama ladies: 1 Alpha Gam, 2 Phi Mu's, 1 Pi Phi
Ok State ladies: 1 AOP, 1 Phi Mu, 1 AXD, 1 Kappa (waiting on the last one)

Also heard the Alabama's total placement rate was a little lower than last year - slightly below 90%.

According to U of Alabama:
UA says 2,683 women attended the first round of events for Fall 2016 formal recruitment at the Capstone, meaning 93 percent received bids from 16 Panhellenic sororities participating.

My Mississippi State lady went Phi Mu and my last missing Oklahoma State lady went Pi Phi.

lsu will now do recruitment after school starts because of the flooding. I wrote 2 recs this year but just found out one of my girls is not going this semester because he mother is dying of cancer. I questioned if she would want to go through recruitment but her mother really wanted her to experience everything and have fun. Her mother is not supposed to make it through the week so she made the right choice.

My Georgia rec girl went Sigma Kappa!

My UGA girl also withdrew from recruitment. Said it was very competitive and that she didn't feel like she fit in. I want to say "I could have told you that!" but instead I hope she finds a fit somewhere else.

Tennessee Bid Day is today and I found out one rec girl went ZTA and my other rec girl went DG!!!!!!! So happy for them both!!!

Thanks, she will need them!!! I hope she will get a chance to join a sisterhood, I think she will need a strong group of woman to help her through this. Hopefully next year she will be able to go through recruitment. I don't think LSU is quit as hard for sophomores to join.

Just heard - my two TCU girls went Theta! Can't wait for Arkansas today - I have eighteen girls going through...... hope they did well!

Yay! That's my chapter!!

I have a smaller group this year. So far:

TCU: ZTA, one withdrew
Auburn: ADPi, AGD, one withdrew
Georgia: ADPi

All but one joined her legacy chapter. Both girls who withdrew should have stuck it out a little longer, in my opinion. Hopefully at least one of them will pursue the fall colony on their campus.

South Carolina Rec girls: 1 went Kappa Kappa Gamma!!!!!! She's also the daughter of a high school classmate!!; 1 did not pledge; still waiting on rec girl 3.....

Does the one that didn't pledge know she can be a founding member of AXiD? I also know some of the chapters are doing COB but only shortly to allow AXiD to recruit.

When does the colony start recruitment? A lot of the girls who were founding sisters of the Kennesaw State chapter wound up being girls who didn't go through rush.
