Lows: Joyner fell out of the hot tub tonight (on DH's watch) and one of her baby teeth came out - roots and all. It was ugly. We took her to the doctor (thank God for extended hours), and it looks like everything is okay. She did not need stitches, but we will have to take her to the dentist on Monday to have xrays and make sure no damage was done to the permanent tooth. Broke my heart to see her so upset! Now she'll have gap toothed pictures for the next three or four years until the permanent one comes in! Sadness!
Highs: School is out until late August! |
LOWS: I just lost a contract on a house that I feel in love with. I am so sad :(. I did everything I could to get it-pre approval, credit approval, did not go down on asking price, I was going to pay all closing costs and I still lost it to someone else just b/c they are going to close in 2 weeks and I wanted to close in 1 month. I guess it wasn't meant to be.
|
AXO_MOM_3, Oh my! happens to the best of us. My son slipped in the tub when he was little and cracked off part of his front tooth. It exposed som nerve so he was in pain till it got fixed-which was immediately.;)
I've also seen 2 boys get their teeth "reimplanted" one after a trampoline accident, the other after a baseball. You COULD ask to have a cosmetic bridge rather than a spacer put in. aggieAXO, So sorry to hear you lost your dream house. Is there much available where you live? Around here, there has been a ton of development going on so when you see "Lots for Sale", they really mean, "LOTS" for sale. They think interest rates may be headed lower, so maybe you will find something you like even MORE! Highs-While son was in Florida, Hubby and I had a great time. It was like a little mini vacation from housework. Didn't have to nag him about graduation thank you notes. He sent them out BEFORE he deposited any checks. Daughter is LOVING Ga. She has her weekends free so she drives to meet friends. Atlanta really has impressed her. Going to the race track tonght. It has been a long time since we've done that. Lows-None really. Just figuring out the fact that soon, I'm gonna need a hobby. I mean, how many times can one rearrange the furniture??? |
Highs: Thank God for weekends. This was one long week!
My boyfriend and I went dancing last night (we take ballroom lessons) and that was pretty cool. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny - so look out lake, here we come! Lows: My boss is driving me NUTS!!! I work in an industry that has really suffered since 9/11 and I feel like my boss is "stealing" some of my resposibilities to make sure she stays busy and her job is safe. My apartment is SO messy and I'm just not feeling the motivation to clean. Yuck. |
well i've never done this before but what the hell...why not!
HIGHS ~don't have to work tomorrow...yay! weather will prob. be sunny so that means that i will go to the pool and lie around getting tan :D ~ my parents leave for a week tomorrow morning which is nice, obviously...but that means that i have complete responsibility for my 2 sisters (age 14 and 10) as well as my 2 dogs (one of which is a puppy and totally insane) and my 87 year old grandfather....who depends entirely on my mom to take him places and whatnot...it will be tough dealing with all this by myself ~my bday is in 21 days, i'll be 19 (doesn't sound as good as turning 18 though for some reason...hm) ~as i have posted before, our chapter got the highest gpa award! go us! ~since my parents are leaving i get to drive my dad's car around....:D LOWS ~i have a cold sore on my lip, and it is most unattractive and painful ~i have been slacking on getting to the gym and working out...i'm just soo lazy ~i can't think of anything else right now i just felt like writing! hope everyone is doing well! |

And along those lines... I got a letter from my boyfriend yesterday.. well let me back up, I got a letter from him a few days ago and on the back he traced his hand and said, 'this is me wanting to hold your hand' [cute.. but he's 23, i think he's been around the kids at camp too long.. haha] Then in this past letter, he drew the other hand, and wrote, "now you have both hands, we can swing dance"... it made me smile. ANYWAY, back to High's and Low's. HIGHS: boyfriend stuff, found a recipe that I want to try out called, "Citrus Shrimp and Toasted Couscous Salad" ... so I'll try that out shortly. I'm nearly done with the Lambda Chi Alpha crest that I'm cross stitching for my brother!!! I got some sun on Sunday -- since it was all crummy on saturday, but i was excited. I woke up this morning WIDE awake.. which was good, so i'm not tired for the hour drive to work. I'm going to play tennis today, which is cool, I havn't played since thursday! LOWS: I had a WEIRD dream last night... about my boyfriend, and I was confused when I woke up.. but happy whenI realized it was JUST a dream. Other than that.. I'm A-OK. |
That is THE sweetest thing for your BF to do -- your heart must have melted....
Lows...SICK as a dog and so is Eli. We have not been 100% since our trip to Disney back in April. DH was sick this past weekend, and now the two of us have it (and of course with the full-time-mom job, there ARE NO sick days!) -- so I am trying to get through it. I also missed out on breakfast with my two alum friends since I didn't want to get them or their kids sick -- not to mention, its hard to see the screen right now, much less the road if I drove! Highs...I saw an AXO from Clemson on the highway the other day -- we were both smiling and waving at each other. AXOTiger - you haven't been travelling have you? LOL! |
aggieAXO: Hang in there! I know exactly how you feel! We had a contingency contract on a house several years ago, and someone bought it out from under us since we had not yet sold our first house. We were so upset! But it worked out - we have more square footage and acreage in the house we ended up buying for the same price! Hopefully things will work out as well for you!
AXO Alum: Hope you are feeling better soon! You were missed! Everything was just terrible....;) Ahem, ahem! (Clearing my throat over here!) Lows: I have my last project due Thursday, but I am in complete summer mode and cannot focus on it! Highs: They had "bulky item" pickup this week, so I tossed some junk out on the curb and now it's gone! My house looks a little less cluttered anyway. |
Highs:
I just wanted to share with my sisters that ......... I GOT THE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!! I am sooooo excited, it is my dream house. Here is description-it is located in a very nice neighborhood in Austin-Great Hill Trails in the Northwest part of town where there are large hills (I call them mountains though they are no where near the size of a mountain but coming from San Antonio where it is flat they look like mountains to me:)). The houes is 2 story, 3 bedrooms/2 baths. The upstairs consists entirely of the master bedroom/bathroom (which has a separate shower/tub-woohoo!!!). There is a deck upstairs that raps around the masterbedroom and the view is hill country and it is very private. Downstairs there are 2 more bedrooms and 1 more bath. There is also a deck here and a small backyard (now I can finally have that garden I always wanted). The kitchen has totally been revamped with granite countertops/new cabinets and new appliances. My absolute favorite part of the house is in the middle of the downstairs area there is an outside atrium-totally walled off by the den and breakfast area-my cats can finally go outside and enjoy some sun without me having to worry about them running off and getting hurt. I am soooo excited :)-I have been intensley saving for 3 years for this house but it is so worth it plus interest rates are so low :). Lows: I am going to miss my condo that I have lived in for 6 years. I will miss my opossums, deer, armadillos, racoons, snakes, (yes snakes) that I see almost every night-it is like a wildlife refuge outside my patio. Moving is going to be a pain. |
Yippee for AggieAXO! I am so excited for you! Sounds like a perfect place for you and your cats! The master bedroom and bath sounds awesome! Have fun setting things up!
|
Quote:
Oh and aggieAXO, that house sounds AMAZING!! Congratulations! |
Highs: Yesterday I helped out a friend w/ her wedding invitations. She's making them all by hand and I just love being crafty. My eval at work was this week and I was a little nervous b/c I still haven't completed a project that my boss gave me 3 years ago (not as bad as it sounds - it's not a major project, just something she thinks would be nice to have). But she didn't nag me about it and I had a very good eval. The percent increase for my salary wasn't quite what I hoped, but in this economy, I'm just glad to be getting a raise! :)
Lows: Hmmm, nothing really too low. I'm really ready to go on vacation, but w/ my and my boyfriend's schedules, I don't think we'll be able to go until September. But since we're planning to go to the beach, I guess that's good b/c at least it will be cheaper! Hope everyone has a great week! |
Highs: I got to work on a vulture tonight-he was neat looking
lows: he smells really bad because some asshole human shot him and the area is infected F**KING People  |
Sound like all is well in AXO land!!! Houses-BFs-VULTURES!!!
I have to say, I think vultures are one of the UGLIEST birds I've EVER seen!!! LOL! However, somebody has to think they're wonderful! aggieAXO , I've heard of plant that cats can't stand the smell of and it keeps tem way from birds. Any idea what that might be? We are losing birds right and left to this cat that has adopted our neighborhood. (Very sweet cat but a killer.) We have a birdfeeder and the doves are sitting prey. Hubby is about to call animal control but I know the cat would be destroyed...:( Highs-Daughter is having a blast with her summer job. She wants me to fly to DC and meet up with her friends. She is taking them to the airport to fly back to their respective countries. Then we would drive home together. My son and his GF broke up!!! I know it sounds awful that I'm happy about this, but she was smothering him and playing mind games. Not to mention HER Mom's mentality just about had them walking down the isle!   Lows-Son turned 19 today. Hope he stays safe tonight since I know they will "celebrate". He is gone so much that we have to plan out time for all three of us to be together. Countdown for college is 63 days. :( |
JAM,
I can't think of a plant that fits that description unfortunately. Stray cats are a huge problem, they are wiping out colonies of birds left and right and this problem has caused a slight rift among bird veterinarians-who want to get rid of free roaming/stray cats and shelter veterinarians-who want to capture stray cats neuter them and then let them out again to roam and this will lead to killing more birds. Even some rodent and rabbit species are suffering. I wish I had an easy answer but even the experts are still out on this one. Maybe you can put a collar with a bell on him (if you can catch/touch him). I love cats but I also love birds-it is a difficult situation. Many people don't think about humans also causing the extinction of bird species (and thousands of other species of animals/insects/fish/plants) due to destruction of their normal habitat so cats aren't the only guilty ones. There are some people I wish I could haul off to a shelter :). I know it is hard when the children grow up and go off to school-my mother still has a hard time adjusting and I have been out of the house since I was 18. I see her every month though as she is only 1.5 hrs away. I also talk to her almost everyday-I still need my mommy :). |
Thanks for the insight! We have a ton of development going on around us. Years ago we would spot a deer now and then. We haven't seen the fox in a couple of months. We do have some beautiful birds that live around us, but the loss of habitat is really taking a toll. The cat is tame, it just didn't like its owner and moved to our street. It's killing frogs, lizards and squirrels as well. It prefers that to cat food. It did have two collars, but slipped out of them. The owner just gave up.
I have heard ammonia and cayenne pepper work...until it rains. Your Mommy misses you too! Due to my daughter's job, she can't call like she did in the past. I "hear" from her on the weekends. She sends letters and those are great! |
Highs
I finally heard from my boyfriend in Missouri. I hadn't gotten a letter in 2 weeks, [which was odd, going from 3/week to none/week] THen again the kids just got there, so i completely understand... it's just hard though. Anyway, he called on Friday, they were coming back from taking the kids camping [and the cell phone had been out of range]. We chatted for about 20 min, and I informed him that it was HARD to keep being up-beat and happy and encouraging in the letters, when I don't hear from him. He was like, i'm so sorry, but these kids are a 24/7 job.. but you know how much you mean to me. yay. SO that's cool. I was like, i dont care if you send 3 letters a week, how about one... it only has to be 4 lines: Hi stevie, I'm alive and well. your boyfriend, dave Lol, is that too much to ask for? - also went on saturday with FCA [fellowship of christian athletes] to feed the homeless in Atlanta... that was an experience. Definitely opened my eyes, and I'm thankful for that. Lows VERY low... I found out on Friday that my ex-boyfriend's mom died of breast cancer. My ex-boyfriend from home... prom date, dated off and on through high school, still keep in touch. He's in the marines and was overseas and came home early to... well, pretty much... wait for his mom to pass on. Can you imagine coming home for THAT reason?! I'm so sad taht I wasn't there... however I AM going home onthe 4th of july weekend, so I can see him then. I sent a card already... it took me about an hour to write it out. One of the sad things [for me] is that he saw my best friend a week ago [or more] at the mall, and he was like, 'hey where's my girl?' and she goes, 'huh?' and he goes, 'you know who im talking about', and she goes, 'oh, stevie' is'nt coming home this summer' [that was before she knew]... and he was like... 'oh well, tell her i said hi when you talk to her next'. :( It's been a rough 2 weeks back home in Jersey... two mothers die in two weeks of breast cancer!! And add that to not hearing from my boyfriend in the same 2 weeks... I was pretty sad. ---------------- But I'm ok now, I'm just waiting to go home! |
axotiger , I'm really sorry to hear about this. The sad part about getting older is death. Each year see more and more people die-it never decreases. I would bet your letter meant a lot. Flowers fade, but the written word in these instances will always be treasured. It will NOT be thrown away. One day, when he is feeling very low, he may reach for that letter and find comfort once again.
|
Stevie,
I am so sorry for all the sad events that are occuring in your life rt. now. It seems like at times"when it rains it pours". Keep your chin up and know we are thinking about you :) Karen |
Hey guys, thanx!! :) That's really encouraging.
I'll make it through, and I'll keep my head high!! Hope that all your weeks are going GREAT!! |
WHY DOES SHE KEEP CALLING!
She calls and calls...He has gone over to see her. I think he can't stand to see her hurt so that is a good thing I guess. I answered the phone and she had been crying.:( Funny thing-I've got a letter from my old HS boyfriend. He gave it to me right before I left for college. I thnk I will let my son read it so he will know I DO understand how he feels. Highs-Work is going great. Our assistant is good and I enjoy being around her. Luncheon today and going to prepare for a Madhatter gathering next month. Lows-My house looks like a tornado ran through it!!! Son has crap spread from end to end. Hubby is a mess. A BIG MESS! Boy is it HOT! Son got laid off his summer job. They didn't have enough kids sign up for the program this year. All the kids who weren't students were let go. Who would hire him for 6 weeks??? I get an anxious feeling when I see how fast the time is flying. It's uncomfortable, like waiting for something to happen but not knowing if it's good or bad. |
HIGHS
- My best friend / ex boyfriend [odd, i know] visited wed and thurs... well his little brother is coming to Clemson, so my ex came to meet his brother and Dad here. JUST TO SEe ME.. yay. - My boyfriend called last night out of the blue!! LOWS - Ok, my best friend keeps bringing up how 'he scrwed up' when he broke up with me last summer... it made sense to me [the breakup] iw as in NJ an dhe was in Florida, summer is 3 months, and we'd only been dating for like 1.5 months. ANYWAY, he KEEPs bringing it up... but in a joking way. He also wants me to visit him in Maine [where him and his family go every summer], he claims that I'll be putty in his hands ...dork! - On the phone last night, my boyfriend was saying how he's had concerns with out relationship [oh joy]. So we got into a disscussion, about how he doesnt want to hurt me, and he still really cares about me, and how he's sorry that he has't written in THREE WEEKS. [when i write like 3 a week] And I tell him that if i got 4 days w/o a letter, i begin to lose heart. I dunno, the conversation did encourage me... to a bit, but it was also a little disheartening. Because he was like, ya know we'll have to see what God wants out of our relationship, if we grow closer by being apart, then that's what will happen, but if we grow apart... then that's what God wants... And I'm like.. WHAT ABOUT WHAT WE WANT? Horrible, I know... but I get frustrated. Ok, wow, sorry I'm rambling & ranting. I've got to wait to we all get back in August. My ex is in Maine, and my current is in Missouri [and thanx to me, they are friends now...lol] BOYS ARE SILLY:p |
Just a joke I had to share-
We are all ages here and it doesn't matter WHY our hormones go crazy, we all just KNOW that at times they DO!
Women and Hormones... Q: How many women with PMS does it take to change a light bulb? A: One! ONLY ONE!!!! And do you know WHY? Because no one else in this house knows HOW to change a light bulb! They don't even know that the bulb is BURNED OUT!! They would sit in the dark for THREE DAYS before they figured it out. And, once they figured it out, they wouldn't be able to find the light bulbs despite the fact that they've been in the SAME CUPBOARD for the past 17 YEARS! But if they did, by some miracle of God, actually find them ,2 DAYS LATER the chair they dragged to stand on to change the STUPID light bulb would STILL BE IN THE SAME SPOT!!!!! AND UNDERNEATH IT WOULD BE THE WRAPPER THE LIGHT BULBS CAME IN!!! BECAUSE NO ONE ! EVER CARRIES OUT THE GARBAGE!!!! IT'S A WONDER WE HAVEN'T ALL SUFFOCATED FROM THE PILES OF GARBAGE THAT ARE A FOOT DEEP THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE!! IT WOULD TAKE AN ARMY TO CLEAN THIS HOUSE! I'm sorry.... What did you ask me? |
:D :D :D :D :D
That's great... I needed that!! Nearly, bust out laughing right here in my cubicle!!! |
HELLO EVERYBODY... man you guys are going to get a kick out of what has happened to me in the past weekend... I got NO sleep, lost a tire, realized mechanics are retarded [no offense any mechanics out there], and broke my shoe... here goes:
[warning... LONG] Friday - no sleep, well that was my fault, since I went downtown and was up til 515 Saturday- retarded car - go to get my car that we dropped off friday night because of some rattleing. I rode with some guy and pointed out the noise on tuesday. So these guys never called us, so my brother and i go to the mall and stop by... THEY ARE CLOSED. On the webpage they are open til 5, on the door til 2, and somewhere else, til 4.... so we go at 230.. and they're closed. So we get the manager and he gets our car, and informs us that they couldn't find the problem... and they couldn't find hte guy that rode with me on tuesday. I was like, are you f-in kidding me?! I mean, the guy told me what to write down for these dumb people, and they STILL didn't get it. I was aggravated, so my car is STILL screwed up... then that night: I was planing on going to bed early, and getting up for church, so i didnt go out. Besides, i was tired. So i'm cross-stitchinga nd watching tv, around 1130, my roommate [jenn] comes in and is like... i can't breathe... i was like.. um ok. And she goes, and my jaw hurts, i go.. well sit down and drink some water, but she doesnt', and she tries to breathe DEEPER, which she can't do so she flips out. The muscles in the neck tense up, her shoulders hurt [they are attached to the neck and the jaw muscles]... so i was like.. are you ok? she goes yeah, so i wait a bit, and around 1230 i go wash my face and brush my teeth, i'm exhausted. Well 5 min later, she comes and goes, we need to go to the hospital. [GREAT]. So i drive there and we get there at like 1250. I'm there til 445am!!! The waiting room was cold as anything... the doctor was like.. um you could have had an anxiety attack etc etc. I think she was over exagerating [i'd be a terrible doctor, i'd be like.. whatever, you're faking go home..lol] But yeah... that was a nice long night. she's fine- had she listened to me to begin with, it would have been fine. Sunday- I was coming home from the pool and i'm on my road [thankfully] and i look in my rear-view mirror... and i see a tire bouncing down the road. I was like... umm all 4 of mine work. Then it hit me [a thought, not the tire] it's my SPARE TIRE. So I speed up, turn into my place, hop out of my car[in a bathing suit and a towel] and look under my car... no tire. So i look down the road thinking I gotta run and get it... NOPE, here it comes, bouncing down the stinkin' road. So I'm running in the street, and it turns and i htink it'll stop in the cudzoo by the train track, ... nope, it goes in and turns again to the road and keeps on going. So i have to chase it down. At this time a guy drives up and helps me get my tire and puts it in my car. I mean honestly, had that happened on the highway ... that i drive everyday, i could have caused a major freakin accident. Later that day: I start to play on my computer and decide to put some pictures on line , so i didnt get to bed til 11. I'm laying down, it's kinda hot so my fan is on. Then I realize that i forgot to plug my phone in... right as i plug it in... my buddy Matt calls from maine. He's like i'm in maine, sitting on a lifeguard stand looking out at the lake, it's beautiful, you should come visit.. yadayada. we chat for about 30 min. Then I get off. Then I lay down again, and toss and turn, i turn off my music, turn off my fan, Then my phone rings again at 12 and it's my boyfriend in Missouri and I get off the phone at 1. And then after that, I kept tossin' and turnin'. Still I managed to get up at 515 on monday though. Monday - I walk into the office, and say good morning to the guard, and promptly lose my shoe. I just stepped out of it. The little metal thing in the buckle, that holds it all together, BROKE. So i end up hobbling down the cooridoor with one shoe [high heeled] on, and one in hand, A salad in my other hand, and a bag over my shoulder, and my company badge in my hand. However, I did somewhat fix it using a hairthing and a paperclip.. haha, don't ask. ... [around 2:15pm] You would have thought that God found everything funny enough... guess not. because walking down the hall, my OTHER shoe breaks!! I was walking back from bringing the security tapes down to the office... and I walked out of the OTHER shoe. Some woman was like, apparently the warranty ran out.. LOL!! True though. What are the odds that they both break in the SAME day. So I'm standing there, with people walking all around, I can't go barefoot because it's work casual... I mean honestly -- so i find a clip, and manage 5 steps before it breaks again and I put the clip back on. At least I'm good at ghetto-fying them... I mean, repairing them!! lol --------------------- Other than that, I'm great!! I'm going home for the 4th of july, the only chance i get... YAY |
My boyfriend is coming to visit me in 5 days and I am so excited as I have not seen him in almost 2 months and it is killing me.
Anyway my main point in coming on here was to say that AXPrincess, Mairin, just underwent major surgery and that you should all keep her in your prayers as I know I am. |

OK, this is a high and low all mixed into one. My daughter is PROBABLY going to spend a year in England. She has met a couple of women at work and they all hit it off. Ever sincew she was little, sh has claimed her dream was to live in England. LSU has an exchange program and as I stand and breathe...she's going. I will NOT persuade her to do otherwise. It looks like we will have to start pinching the pennies because Christmas 2004 will be in Liverpool. If anyone has followed, she wants to be in music promotions. The girl she is staying with has an uncle in the business. He manged the BEATLES before they added Ringo. Though he missed out on the act of the CENTURY, he is still quit successful and this could be her foot in the door. ANYway, please send a prayer of strength my way, because as she gets older, the odds of meeting the "right" guy increase. I would die (cry) if she met a Londoner, and stayed in Europe... MY GRANDBABIES NEED ME!!!! |

It's been a year!
Oh man, it's been almost a year since I've posted on this thread last.
Highs: Got to see two of my closest friends tonight, got to see my nephew yesterday, my biological sister is pregnant again, my brother is engaged, and my cousin's wedding is a little over a month from today. Lows: I don't have a (male) date to the wedding (he canceled two days ago) so I've asked my alpha chi sister and ex-roommate to go and she said yes (there's another high). I miss my sisters, but I see them around campus sometimes. (I'm working at Marquette for the summer). It's always a little crazy to see them and it's like "ahhh... HEY!!!" and then you RUN across Wisconsin avenue to give them a hug or something...... pure craziness. And I'm getting overtired and very talkative.... so GOODNIGHT! |
Re: It's been a year!
Welcome back!!!

Lows: Mr. AXO MOM 3 moved his office/business back into our home, so it looks pretty chaotic in right now! There is junk everywhere!
Highs: We are off to the beach for a week - yippee! I won't have to look at the mess for a whole week! I am loving summertime! |
Lows:
Well, my boyfriend and I are 'on a break' now. Which is a good thing since he's in Missouri [as Im sure you guys are sick of hearing of him anyway]. But it's good, we talked about it and thought it would be the best thing anyway. It's better for [at least] because instead of sitting and waiting and when I finally get a call/letter being like, ' OMG He finally called...it's been so long...' I can be like, 'hey... dave called/wrote today.. sweet'. That's kind of a low and a high. This happened July3rd, and he called on the 4th [he had a 24 hour break period and could use the phone] anyway, he called to make sure I was ok [which of course i was... i was at the beach] and he was saying how he couldn't get to sleep the night before because he was worrying about me.. etc etc. He's a doll. I just don't think we're right for each other right now... ya know? Oh well. We'll see when classes start again. Highs: I had a nice time back at home with my friends that I see once or twice a year. Had a few beer-BQs ... managed to get into a fist-fight with my friend Rob. [my hand hurts now]. I don't really know why, I think it started with me asking how to punch withOUT breaking my hand.. lol. Then we just started going punch for punch. I do have a few bruises though.. BUT I did clock him a few times in the face... GO ME!! :) It was fun. |
Highs - My Cardinals won two out of three games this weekend. I got to see one of my fave cover bands - Mike and Joe twice. I met a cute boy who made me put his phone number into my phone after one of the aforementioned baseball games. I interview for grad school Friday.
Lows - I am getting burned out at work. My air conditioner is not cooling the air; my landlord just thinks that cleaning it out makes it better but it is still hot as heck. I did not call cute boy to go see band Sunday night, and am debating whether to call him. I am also broke. |
hey alphachiohmy ...
Good luck with cute boy!!! :D |
Highs:
4th of July weekend was great. My boyfriend and I went to the mountains to visit his parents and had a really nice weekend. Got to do a little shopping, a little lounging by the pool, watched some fireworks, and ate a LOT of good food! My parents are coming this weekend and we're going to the lake. I haven't seen them since Memorial Day weekend and I'm excited to get to hang out for a whole day! My boyfriend and I had our one-year anniversary yesterday. Boy, that year has flown by! He sent me a HUGE vase of roses and daisies to work and I got all embarrassed having to walk back to my desk w/ all the guys in the hangar (I work at an aircraft maintenance facility) asking what I did to get flowers like that. Of course, I had a big, goofy grin on my face the whole time, so I'm sure that added to their laughs. :) Lows: Work sucks right now. I have one project to work on and it's SO boring. I'm taking a break from it right now so I don't fall asleep at my desk! Two more months until another holiday. :( |
Get back to work DaisyCrazy!!! ;)
Okay...for now... Highs - I am currently "previewing" a yummy ice cream sundae -- I'm having a PartyLite Ice Cream Sundae Party tomorrow night, and you know, better make sure that the Edy's ice cream, the chocolate syrup, and all the other fun stuff is just perfect for my company :D Lows - I will be sporting this sundae on my REAR END for another six months! I don't know why I tempt myself with such goodies in the house! |
HIGHS-SURE IS GREAT TO SEE SO MUCH ACTIVITY! Enjoying all the posts!
Work went pretty fast this week. I only go in M-W 6:30-10:00 or so. I am an early riser. Son is actually doing his OWN LAUNDRY now...without TOO much griping. LOWS-Time is evaporating and I feel like I'm going to get punched in the stomach. I DO NOT LIKE STRESS! Son does not realize how much there is to do. |
axotiger ... Thanks much. So, I did call and talked to him for a few seconds. He asked what I was doing tonight. I said I had to pack to go out of town this weekend ... He said he wanted to get together sometime and asked that I call him when I get back ... so its to be continued.
JAM ... I am taking laundry home this weekend. I know how to do my own but its fun not to when I go to my parents home b/c my mom asks if I need it done. I almost think my mom likes it too, cause she knows she can be helpful if I am running around. But she is in Florida this weekend, and I don't trust my dad - so I will be doing it myself sans quarters that I normally dish out for laundry here in Chicago. Highs ... see above!! World's Oldest St. Pat's Block Party is in 1.5 weeks. Choice is between Better than Ezra or The Bodeans. (Friday or Saturday). One of my friends from home is getting Sunday married and pregnant, so I am happy for her. Lows ... am still broke, have to charge wedding gift. Have a five hour drive tomorrow after a long day of work. A long day of work. I wont get to see my Mom, who is off in Clearwater with my Grandma and aunts. |

Hey girls-
I really haven't posted much in "our" forum and it's something i'm trying to do more, soo...... High: My bf came to town for the 4th of July weekend!! He looked awesome and I was so happy to see him (it's been a month). We went to rooftop party at the Cubs game (free food, free alcohol, free tix to see the game, niiiiiiiice :) ) went to the Taste, just an all around amazing time. I love him so much. (and to think we almost broke up a month ago............) Low: AXOtiger I totally feel you about the bf in Missouri---I go to school there but I live in Chicago and it is KILLING me having him so far away :( He just left 2 days ago and this time it just seems like I can't deal with it.... And, I need a couch for my apt in the fall and there just isn't one in the entire North Shore thats up to my standards, lol. |
