My chapter never got into the nickname tradition but my cross country and track teams did. I was called "Scout" since I was the lone eagle scout on the team and this was then used by many of the APO brothers as well.

I was given the name Fundadora Francis because...
1. I fluently speak Spanish and one of the seniors absolutely loved that because she was a Spanish major.
2. One of ZTA's founders was Frances Yancey Smith so since our first names are so similar, then I'm Fundadora Francis! (Fundadora means founder in Spanish). :D:p

No I couldn't have been a "tail", there was a brother taller than me.

You don't necessarily have to be the tallest to be the tail or the shortest to be an ace. Just depends on how your chapter does it.

Anyway, my name is appropriately called Mama Bear. In Iota Rho, we have nickname committees and to make a long story short, my shirt given to me with it. I think it is cute and far better than some of the names my PC brothers had. One had Vanilla Ice, Bubbles, etc. Now, line #'s we don't do but I had my number given to me by some brothers who also took me under their wing. So now, not only am I #2038 by my chapter, I am #4 to others too.

My nickname is Balto. Cause I looooove wolves :-) Among other reasons that I shall keep to myself and my sisters

oACEsis is my official line name and my alias is Amazing GrACE. I'm an ACE obviously and my number is 1.

I have my local scroll number, chapter and nickname on my windbreaker, while my blueberry (satin jacket) has my name, nickname, class, semester pledged... damn thing reads like a resume. I break it out once in a while, which kinda makes me a "Brother Elvis" - occasional sighting of the letters, but actives can't confirm who I am. Pledged back in the Fall of 1996, during my 1st stint as an undergrad.

I was given the nickname of Wonder Woman, and my Big ("Rocky") gave me two reasons for it.

1) She had dated the older brother of the guy I was dating at the time - she told me if I could deal with both of them, I had to be some kind of WW.

2) My twin sister pledged the semester before I did, making me a legacy and in a precarious position since the newest brothers tended to come down hardest on the pledges. She was also dating an active brother. Rocky told me that if I knew what I was getting into and was willing to take it on, she was proud of me for having the guts to stick it out.

Down the road, I became part of the rechartering team for our chapter, which was a pretty good feeling! I also got to be part of the rechartering at Johns Hopkins :D

Well my lines name is 5 .F.O.L.D. my personal name is Beauty. My pers told me my name was beauty because far beyond physical beauty I exhibited a beautiful nature about everythng i did even on line.

My linename is "Motown???". Motown-Because I can sing. The ??? at the end is because I asked alot of questions while on line.

My nickname is "old Man River" because I was the oldest to pledge on my line. I have also been called "Granddad and Father Time," but I usually will have Doc Holliday as a name because it was given to me by a DJ in Jackson, and it's also my alter ego....lol.

I have two line names. The first one is Token because I am the only black person in my Big's family. My second one was giving to me by my Grandbig it is Mizz. Poptartz because I was never seen without a poptart (or two). And I mean Never lol I am Lucky Number 7 on my line!! I wear my name and number on all my par lol
