Babs grew up in BK, HC she couldn't tell them what train to take back?

Are you living inside my head? ;) :p GIRL, WHY did I say EXACT THING last night?!! It was all a game. He said to walk to Junior's and get me some cheescake, but he NEVER said walk back. He just said get back with it fresh. It was all a mind game. I would have taken that walk, but I guarantee I would have been on a bus, train, or in a cab on my way back. They were *itchin' too much for me last night. They never know. Puff could have had the cheesecake man holding the keys to the crib.

Girl, I didn't even read your whole post because I had to jump in on that on quick. Of course, I'll be posting again. :p

***ETA***

Girl, I was totally cool with Puff blasting Dylan out. It was on TV already and I am sure that the word had already gotten out before last season aired. Therefore, I didn't see the problem. I kind of felt shook when he was going off because I felt him SO much. They were acting BAD last night! He read them like a book!!Dylan's crazy azz should have been #1 trying to make the boss happy. Everybody was talking sht, talking about they wanted their plane tickets and everything. Do you really think that they would have done something so foolish?

I can't wait until next week to see his reaction to his cheescake being late... :D I taped the first episode because I didn't think I would be home. I think I need to watch it again! :p

Girl, I bet next week's episode will be full of pure hilarity. LOL!!!!! I can only imagine what the cheesecake looked like after they walked back to Manhattan - not entirely too fresh, ya know?? I guess P. Diddy screaming on Dylan wasn't a big deal since it was gonna be shown on national television anyway. I must say though, Puffy know how to get in someone's azz when necessary - lol. :p

Did you hear Babs say, "This ain't no Sorority Life"? But we saw her behind walking to BK for some cheesecake. :p

That's right!

I don't think that P. Diddy technically knows about a Hell Week, but I am sure that he has seen School Daze and all those other wacky depictions (i.e. Sorority/Fraternity Life) of "hazing" (used very loosely). He just put his own spin on it.

They had me tripping out when they were saying that none of the other artists had to do that. YOU'RE RIGHT!! NOBODY in that group WILL EVER compare to Biggie. No one can touch Faith or Carl Thomas. Mind you, Faith had been writing and singing back-up long before she was put on with Puff. Carl had been writing and producing. These kids are all from the gutter, so to speak. They had better get it right.

Gina1201 06-19-2003 01:57 PM

The funniest thing to me last night was right after they bought the cheescake and then Babs drops it on the ground as soon as she walks out the door. I was laughing even harder when she went back and Junior's was closed! If the man wouldn't have let her back in, how would they explain that?

lovelyivy84 06-19-2003 02:24 PM

I'm with you Redefined!

SO WHAT if the other artists weren't fetching cheesecake. They paid their dues for YEEAAAARS by being broke and working their asses off.

They think Faith never had to swalow her pride? Walking to BK is nothing I bet.

I was so loving Puffy's attitude this episode. They thought they were stars for some reason- no album, no music or nothin.

Ha!

I like this show better than Real World. I didn't watch it last season but they have made a fan out of me.

When Baps dropped the cheesecake I wanted to hit her!!! I was screaming, "Send her home, now!"

But I have to admit at first I was very skeptical about P.Diddy but he was not telling them anything wrong. They deserved everything he said to them.

OUT OF CONTROL!
Is this the best television show or what?!!?! I swear I am waiting on the band to say "DEAN YES DEAN" to P.Diddy! Everyone on there really thinks that they have made it in the industry now that they have gotten a lil' fame since the last show. I really hope P.Diddy checks Dylan real quick! He saved that dude from jail time and now he thinks that he can do or say anything! He claims he has all these offers from other record labels...well Dylan, put your money where your mouth is! I am glued to MTV until the end of the season so I can see what happens with S. S. M.T.B.2.

You ain't never lied!! I could not believe that Dylan was so stubborn with his workout! Who does he think he is?! As much as Diddy has helped them out....for him to do that, that's how we do it though. I can't wait for the next episode.

YOU ain't never lied Delph998!
Dylan is really rubbing me the wrong way with his attitude! Also, Babs is doing a lot of complaining too. Did y'all see how she was trippin' over staying in that hotel room with all of her bandmates? She felt like their were too many people cramped up in that small space. It also annoys me that Sara knows that they just need to do whatever they are told, yet she doesn't want to speak up! If and when they finish this process...they will learn about a little thing called "being humble". These folk goin' round here signing autographs, doing shows, making "celebrity appearances" and they don't even have a SINGLE! Everytime they are told to do something, someone has some type of issue. You should have seen me screaming at the tv last night saying "what are excuses!" Forget those shows Fraternity and Sorority Life, if you want to get a real taste of bonding, brother-/sisterhood, being humble, learning, etc......WATCH MAKING THE BAND 2!

No. Puff attended Howard but did not graduate, althoug I do believe that the school gave him an honorary degree.

Just so you guys know, there is a thread on AKA Ave. that covers both this season and last season of MTB2.

wow!
yeah puff was doing the dang thing. he has got the mind game down pat. "philly, you ain't that nice!" i was tripping.
i can't believe that they didn't see the game immediately. it is never about the cheesecake. and that pitiful little power move? what! they have no leverage! puffy doesn't need them. sara gets it, but she is so timid that they don't respect her voice and she clearly gets it! she is trying to make that money for her family. and babs is steady fronting for her peeps in brooklyn. most of them wish they could pick up some cake for puffy!

Conskeeted7 06-19-2003 05:55 PM

The cheesecake fetch was funny because of the distance. But I thought I heard Puff tell them to go see the city and take their time. So, they could have walked a little bit and taken a cab the rest of the way, sat at Juniors for a while, then caught the train back. He wouldn't have known.

He just wanted some cake and they were tripping like they have power or authority over him. They should be grateful for the opportunity and consider that he could be telling them to do lots of worse things than getting cake. They really need to lose the big heads. None of them are above being put out of the group and returning to normalcy.

ClassyLady 06-19-2003 06:10 PM

The best part of last night's episode was when they finally got back to Daddy's House with all of the cheesecake and Diddy wasn't even there. That was absolutely hilarious. All that walking for nothing.

They were dumb for walking back though, cuz I definitely would have been in a cab. Babs could have treated because she sure nuff pulled out a wad of fifties to pay for the cheesecake. She could have just put that money on a cab and saved herself the time and trouble of making that hike.

Everybody got their heads a little big and definitely needed to be brought back down to size, especially Dylan. I would have sent his arse packing when he refused to do the workout. The craziest part about his whole attitude is that he had to do all of the same stuff last season. He's acting like the workout is a totally foreign concept to him and he didn't have to make it through Bad Boy Boot Camp to get into the house last time. If he did it then, why is he surprised that he has to do it now. C'mon.

The problem was, while they were busy huffing and puffing, their brains forgot to come up with several plans. They could've for example, walked to The Village and then either take the subway or hail a cab to Junior's. Babs had enough money in her hand. HC she couldn't use some of that money for them to take a cab back to Manhattan?

Being hungry for a career does not have to mean being STUCK ON STUPID , which is what they were last night.

I was thinking the same thing.. It took them hours to get there in back!!! Don't be looking for their CD too soon. DUUHHHH

Yes he did say see the city...that part total went over their small minds.. He wanted them to hang out.

blackcoffee 06-19-2003 07:33 PM

Yes, that whole episode was a TRIP!! To me EVERYONE had the big head, except for Sara. To me, she was the only one who realized what an opportunity she has to even be on the Bad Boy label. Everyone was acting like they had already made it big time. :o

I loved the way Puff put them in check. It was like you're either down or you're not; he doesn't need none of them, he already made it! Which is an absolute truth.

I can't wait until next weeks episode. This season is going to be off the chain.

RedefinedDiva 06-19-2003 09:31 PM

This episode spoke VOLUMES. Everyone kept saying the same thing, "I thought we were going to come back to the crib, chill,a nd start working on our album." The funny part is that, like someone stated earlier, Dylan was talking about how everyone was calling him for a deal. WTFever!!

When Puff told you to step, he should have carried everyone down the street to Clive's offices and got put on. Everyone was talking about they wanted their plane tickets. Fred was acting an azz last night as well. I was surprised that Ness was going along with that sht. He was letting them buck him up. I was really surprised at Chopper. He claimed that he would do anything to get up out of New Orleans. I know the feeling and I would be damned if I would let a walk get in the way. Come to think about it, NO ONE except Babs and Dylan were from NY. Therefpre, how would they know where they were going. They instantly jumped on the bandwagon and claimed that it was too far and that they weren't going. How could they take Dylan's word? He didn't even want to do some jumping jacks.

The funny part was that everyone felt the heat when they stuck their chests out and decided to go back and tell Puff that they didn't want to walk, he said all so bluntly that they could go home. They tried to be bad and walk off, but why did they stay outside? Oh, I know! They knew they were throwing away everything. DUH!

Between MTB2, Top Models, and Big Brother 4, I will be too happy this summer! :D

UpPinkies 06-19-2003 09:39 PM

I wonder what other artist went through this with Puffy?

But, if I wanted it sooooooooooo bad, I would have started walking towards that store to get that cake right after Diddy dismissed us. Trick the rest of them. I would have brough Diddy the whole chessecake:D. Learn how to be humble, because in a blink of an eye, Diddy could have dismissed them early in the game. AND I AM LIVING RENT FREE, AND EATING FREE....those people should be greatful.

Paradise359 06-20-2003 12:00 PM

This show was Hil-ar-ious!!! I laughed from the beginning to the end. The Alpha line of Diddy Phi Diddy Fraternity Inc. showed out quite well! lol I had no idea Puffy was so funny! I think the funniest aspect was that these folks thought they were scheduled to appear on the Grammy's or something. Therefore his reality check just cracked me up & was sorely needed.

I forsee nothing but drama & me going nowhere for the next few Wednesdays...I love it!:D

SkeeWee14 06-20-2003 12:06 PM

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong (I tuned in late last season), but didn't they initially send Babs home last season because she was butt booty a$$ ugly or something like that? Didn't they bring her back and give her a makeover (which is still kinda suspect to me)? If that's the case why is SHE of all people trippin about doing something? And I totally agree with the comments made about Dylan. That's about the time that I started watching last season and I saw how Puff got him out of trouble. Ungreatful (bleep)...I wonder if he could still get locked up if doesn't stick with the deal that he has with Puff and the group. I also wonder if Mysterious would have walked to Brooklyn for some cheesecake or would she have broken another glass with her hand?

Well, they didn't really send her home because of her looks. She just didn't make the cut. There were very few people that got an explanation as to why they were cut. Puff did, however, keep her in the back of his mind. Towards the end, Mina and Mysterious started to get too damn comfortable with their positions.

Mina felt that she was cute with her wanna-be "slick Sex and the City" (i.e. Foxy Brown) rhymes. She was far from Foxy. Mysterious, on the ther hand, looked like a beat-down, worn out, nomad looking somebody who thought she was hot. She was FAR from being hot. All that grumbling she did on stage made me think I was watching a Smoky the Bear concert. The girl couldn't rap AND she was making OPEN statements about NOT wanting to be in the group! How is a "gutter, orphan binch with NOTHING" going to turn down ANY opportunity?

Enter Babs. Diddy called her back to put the heat on. Like Mysterious said, she didn't compare to her. WHO DOES? The Country Bears? On the contrary, Babs KILLED Mina! Mina couldn't take it. She tried to come up with the lame excuse that since Babs had been gone for a while, she had rhymes stored up and that she was coming back in more hungry. NO, binch!! How about you should have been writing rhymes everyday also and stayed hungry your damn self! She felt that Mysterious wasn't that great or attractive, so she would make the band as the female MC. Fooled her.

P.S. They didn't make Babs over. She got her new look when she was out of the house. The look that she is currently sporting is all her own. They have had no relationship with Bad Boy since the end of the last season.

SkeeWee14 06-20-2003 01:42 PM

RedefineDiva, thanks for the breakdown of last season. I wish I could have seen it from the beginning. Wasn't there another girl who got cut that I guess was in competion with Sara as the vocalist of the group? I'm determined not to miss an episode of this seasons drama. I have a whole new respect for P. Diddy!

RedefinedDiva 06-20-2003 03:23 PM

Just call me the MTB Expert!

Sara never really had any real competition in the house. Diddy would usually come through and allow the semi-finalists/finalists blend their voices, sort of like sample groups. Sara would usually sing with a group of girls, like Yasmine, Jonessa, and Jamirah. You can tell that when Sara came up front, he was feeling her more than the other girls.

Yasmine was really sultry w/ a Latin sound. Jamirah could sort of sing and rap. Her downfall was the unplanned pregnancy. Puff let her go. Jonessa had a high pitched whiny voice, but it only worked well with Walter, a male singer. They would have made a good duo. Sara was the one.

I'm sure that they will be going over the episodes again. They had showed them last week. You know MTV. They love to replay things. Those lame azz Movie Awards come on everyday....

You're right about Jonessa's voice, but she could write as well. She wrote the song for the all girl group and wrote all of the melodies for the Hip Hop and R&B callbos. She may not be able to make it as a singer, but she could have quite a career as a writer. One hit song and she could be set for life.

I am watching a rerun of MTB right now and it's even funnier the second time. I just can't believe that Dylan caught that much of an attitude about exercising. He's talking about "I don't see how any of this [exercise] has anything to do with my album sales." How bout you should be running laps to thank Diddy for your freedom because you dayumed sure wouldn't have it if it wasn't for him.

P.S. Babs is getting on my nerves with all of her complaining. Funny how the ones who were brought back to the group are the most ungrateful.

thesweetestone 06-21-2003 12:35 AM

I wonder what are they going to be fighting about. On the commercial those people are thrown down!

evaclear04 06-23-2003 04:02 PM

I think puffy feels like he may have missed out on something in his college days. Big Brother Puff Daddy!
LMAO at the part when he comes back out of the office room to yell at them! They looked shook! I would have been right behind him hyping him up and laughjing the whole time!
And how about Babs crying about she aint 'no punk biotch'....LOL! Puff should have told her... You'll be a walking one today if you want this contract! These kids needed to be straighten...

RedefinedDiva 06-23-2003 05:44 PM

Girl, did y'all hear the part when she said that people "seen" her on TV and she can't be walkin'. WTF not? Are they gonna jump you? Or is it that you have been running your mouth so much about how you are about to blow up that you are too good to walk?

Wednesday isn't coming fast enough!

I didn't get the anti-walking campaign either. So what if people see you walking? I'm really confused. When did walking become something to be embarrassed about? It's better than crawling.

Plus, going back to my earlier point, Puff didn't give them a time frame or deadline. They could have made a good time out of it and really just enjoyed seeing the city. But they started huffing and puffing like he told them to put on tutus and backwards wigs and hold hands down to Times Square...give me a break!

You're right. That's the same thing that I said. I love to walk. I have no problem with it. And let someone give me a trip to N.Y. No, wait. Let PUFF give me a trip to N.Y., on top of him giving me a record deal and a place to live. And to make it better, I would have a camera crew with me, so I know there would be a slim to zero chance of me getting mugged. I would have been a walking fool. :D All those lights and sites would have made me delirious.

They wasted most of their time hemming and hawing on the sidewalk. If they would have taken a minute longer talking or would have been walking any slower, the bakery would have been closed. As soon as they got out of the door, the place shut down!

I need Sara to stop being a ounk and step up. She needs to speak out. I could see it in her face for the entire episoe that she was willing to do what had to be done. But she fell into that group mentality and backed down. She needs to speak up. I think that Puff needs to send someone else in to supervise because Ness is NOT a leader. He let Dylan, Frederick, Chopper, and Babs buck his head up too easily. None of them are leaders. Sara is could have done it and she is my favorite of the group, but she needs backbone. You would think with a husband and three kids that she would be a little more firm....

It's called HUMILITY and it seems as though most of the participants lack it. By the end of their "initiation period," I'm sure they will appreciate what Puffy is doing. I believe in "crawling before I walk" and these folk need to start thinking that way!

Sara needs to be the leader and step up to the plate! I can't wait until tomorrow! The show is going to be GOOD!

They need to start thinking...

I thought that they could have hailed a cab a few blocks AWAY from Puffy's building. Then, they could have gotten out of the cab a few blocks from the bakery. Get the order. After that, walked a few blocks, hailed another cab; wasted a good 30 or 40 minutes, then make it seem as if they had walked all the way from the bakery.

I guess they were not thinking like that.

I just think that pledging a GLO teaches people to think outside of the box because that is exactly what I would of thought to do. They were just afraid of what other people would say about them that is why they were complaining so much. If the cameras weren't following them and P. Diddy said jump they would of asked how high...

Trust me, the distance from Times Square to Brooklyn is very far. A normal person wouldn't dare take that walk unless they had no other way of getting to BK. I was laughing b/c Puffy told them to walk to Junior's, but he didn't say anything about how they should get back to the office. They could've taken the train back - there are more than enough trains at downtown BK (I grew up a few blocks away from Junior's) that they could've taken back into the city. Babs grew up in BK, HC she couldn't tell them what train to take back?

Dude they did not even need to go that far Juniors has a bakery in Grand Central Station!!!!! And the cheesecake there is just as good as the one in BK!

True, but I highly doubt that they know about the Grand Central location. It's quite obvious that they left their thinking caps back home. We'll see what happens on tomorrow's ep.

I agree with all of the suggestions listed- but would MTV tell on them? Was there someone sent to make sure they did it Puffy's way?

Otherwise I can say for SURE that I woulda been on the TRAIN. Babs should have known that the 2 train goes RIGHT to Junior's, no need to be an ass and walk, even if you don't know about the one in Grand Central (I worked around there and that place was DANGEROUS).

First commercial break update:

Both Fred and Chopper are some punks! How you gonna stand there and ask someone to hit you? If you are 'bout your issue like Miami and N.O. dudes are supposed to be, then you just go for it! They were sounding like we were back in elementary school saying, "Just knock this rock off my shoulder and see what happens."

Sara and Dylan were the only ones who could read. Fred and Babs's illiterate azz were are stuttering and stumbling over their words. How can anyone laugh?

It's back on. Gotta go!

Second Commercial break update:

Why was Fred's wanna-be-hard azz sucking his thumb? He says he runs Miami? He's gonna get run OUT of Miami when they see him sucking his thumb!!

Sara is really humble and she is my favorite. That's it. Babs and the rest of them are pissing me off! I feel bad for Sara because she is really trying, but by the rest of them messing up, she is suffering.

I think that they are tripping by coming down hard on her for not being able to learn the song. I think that it would be easier if they wrote the lyrics down for her and made sure she knew the melody. They can't read. She can't rap. I would rather not know how to rap.

Bye!

And finally:

The house is SICK! I am glad that they added a personal touch by putting a picture of Fred's baby and the graffeti wall.

Sara stepped up her game and got the props. That's my girl. Puff looked impressed that they were into that song, but you know that he couldn't show it too much.

It's about to be off the chain next week. Farnsworth is dropping in!

Does anyone know where in NYC is that homeless shelter is located?
