LOL!

How was the show? I missed it. I was watching something else.

christiangirl 07-28-2005 12:34 AM

Was anyone else hurt by the fact that the opening said, "Who knows what could happen for this girl AND our group"? That just pierced my heart to hear them say that, they can't possibly have a future with that girl, it'd just be wrong. I know that you can't just sit like a bump on a log missing people, but after all the publicity over this NOT being about finding a Lisa replacement, to hear the statement threw me for a loop. :(

I've been following the whole story (thanx CyberTLCWorld!) and I agree that there's no better way to honor Lisa than to make a fan's dream come true. It was all about giving a fan the chance to sing with them and also to keep their name out there. But to say stuff like that, it makes you question. But I'll always stand behind my girls, I just hope they stop makin' it so hard.

On the upside, did anyone notice how as each girl walked into the audition, she introduced herself to the other girls, but the last one just walked past them all and sat down? And why did they all have to cut their eyes at whoever was singing? Just love your sister and then show attitude with your talent, not you twisted up lips!

RedMusiq4U 07-28-2005 12:43 AM

I saw the show last night it was cool....they payed homage to Left Eye and talk about their life w/o her. From what I gathered their doinga greatest hits album and the girl who wins gets to record "1" song w/ them that's going to be featured on this album. This young woman will also have the opportunity to sing w/ them on stage as well. I'm in agreement w/ everyone you can't replace Left Eye or any other member of TLC for that matter.......so hopefully this "1" time opportunity is just a "1" time opportunity and perhaps this young woman can become her own super star. I hope TLC continues as a duo for real.

christiangirl 07-28-2005 12:52 AM

Last night? It only went off an hour ago! How'd you see it yesterday?

BTW, the greatest hits is already out. It came out overseas a year ago, and just started selling here not too long ago (I got mine last week, love the unreleased cut!)

The fake jamaican waiter was a hot mess!!

My prediction is that they pick someone with mediocre singing abilities, as to not oushine T-Boz and Chilli. Kinda like what Destinys Child did.

Brandys first note of "Hold On" was unfortunate to say the least.

I really liked Alju's voice.

Even with mediocre singing the person would outshine T-Boz and Chili. :D Since TLC is known for being entertainers rather than singers the best way to go would be to pick a fan who's personality is on point. Combine a great attitude with a smidgen of actual talent you then have your third "temporary" member.

#1 Leading Lady 07-28-2005 10:50 AM

The fake Jamaican was a classic!

I was thinking is Chili going to ever stop talking about food. Heck she had me going to DQ for a Sundae and warming up some Glory Greens after the show:D

I am so glad the last chick who sang Hold On by Envogue did not make it because she slaughtered that song with the keys/tone she was singing....though her adlib was kinda on point.

*in my best accent* "Now child, you don't know nothin' 'bout dem JaFAKEans!"

I loved Chilli's face during that last performance, she looked so hopeful, like she was just prayin' it would get better. She looked so determined to keep a positive expression on her face, she didn't care WHAT expression it was as long as it didn't show what she was thinkin'. T really didn't seem to care, her face said, "OK, I'ma keep my face neutral and child, that's the best you gon' git."

I loved how when they were talking, that good ole TLC vibe was still there. The playing and laughing and jokes, those were things that every TLC fan thought they might not ever see again. I was cracking up through the whole show and it sho' felt good. :D

OMG

I am watching the encore.

OMG

En Vogue should sue this child....Chilli's mouth was open...ctfu...T-Boz was trying to bob her head, but they could not hide their true feelings...

ROFLMAO

This isht is horrid. I was most offended at the girl singing Etta James' "At Last" in a bikini top and low rise jeans.

Kamryn 08-03-2005 02:37 AM

It was interesting!

Ditto on the costume choice. She knew what song she would be singing before she auditioned. She should have dressed a little more conservative.

Maybe she just wanted to show them that she had a body that could work some of the more revealing costumes that they use for concerts and videos...

If these were the top four, then I wonder what the other audition tapes looked like! All I can say is wow...

She ordered enough food to feed a small nation.:o

christiangirl 08-03-2005 05:27 PM

Only 5.5 hours till we see some more action! I'm excited, I can't help it. I love how this is like the opposite of American Idol. How it focuses on the judges rather than the contestants (that's where the real comedy is anyway, with homegirl trying to eat her way through life...doesn't she know her metabolism slows in her 30's?)

christiangirl 08-03-2005 05:32 PM

I know it's not about the show, but I don't know who else to tell, I think I'm going into shock...

http://webpages.charter.net/jluebs/tlc.jpg

Oh, what the, HEEELL NAW!!!

lilbay77 08-04-2005 07:27 AM

yawn

That episode was boring.

christiangirl 08-04-2005 01:00 PM

Not when they went to the gator farm. I thought Chilli was gonna open up a can on that guy trying to hand her the scorpion. :p And for Tionne to be fighting so much that she got expelled for the DeKalb county school system, you think she wouldn't look about to wet herself over a gator and a zebra monkey (well, that's what the thing looked like).

Dvyne Evolushun 08-17-2005 08:17 PM

Why did that girl just "air" her...uh.... flatulence :o problem on National TV?

Even if she made it, she'd be known as the "stinky" member. That's not attractive.

She reminds me of a former student.

O'So Krispie. . . .:o

Group 3

I think more people in group three should have been sent home. I would have kept all of the skittlez... They sounded great!
Smoker girl really didn't have a chance plus she looks old.

o so krispy....

DSTinguished1 08-17-2005 10:05 PM

I dont know think they should have sent home 1 person from each group...it should have been the worse 3 out of everyone.

ETA: But their selections were very valid.

Tiny, lots of energy, creative, high pitched rap voice, great dancer, and stars in her eyes. That girl is EXTREMELY reminiscent of Lisa circa 1992.

I agree, the smoker needed to go home, she was worried about too many extraneous things. It would bug me to death if I kept having to interrupt practice so my group member could go smoke, then bring that smell in to mess with MY breathing. And who cares if there's food on the dishes?!? YOU NEED TO PRACTICE!!! If you have OCD, you don't really need to be in a group, you take care of all those other things on your own time. I'm not saying I didn't sympathize with her, but she needed to just be alone b/c that was driving people crazy.

kiml122 08-18-2005 07:42 AM

I loved last nights ep....

Umm O'so Krispie...not touching that at all...but she does seem to have talent.

I'm still not feeling the little short girl in the group SKittlez. She was the one that T-Boz said she was that close to going home. She is the one from Dallas that is the teacher. I don't like her voice, I didn't like it when she performed, and I'm still not feeling it.

I liked the fact that T-Boz and Chilli are so straight up with them...there comments have me cracking up.

I think it's her voice that's driving me crazy. Sure she sounds like Lisa, but I don't want them to try to replacer Lisa with an imitation. I think that "O So..." should just dance.

Don't talk, just dance.

Crystal's her name. She sounded like a chipmunk when she was singing on the treadmill. I thought they should have picked Cherry (married to man with bone cancer) over Crystal but I know they picked her because she, too, reminds them of Left Eye.

Bring on the cat fights!!:o

Yeah CRystal is her name.

I liked Cherry too. I was sad that she didn't get picked. Yes, it does seem like they are looking for somene that reminds them of Lisa, and that is not the way to go.

OMG, you ain't never lied about the cat fighting that is about to go on up in that peice.

I bet you Chilli has a lot of "special sauce" in her food. She was working my nerves.

I realllllllllly want the phrase "step my game up" to DISAPPEAR from reality show competitons.

T-Boz, 1994 is on line 2, they want you to know that the hairstyle with the 2 long strips of hair is sooooooooo "What About Your Friends?" in other words PLAAAAAYED OUT!!!

DSTinguished1 08-24-2005 08:14 PM

Yeah Chili was a bit much in the Waffle House...its Waffle House!!!!! When has the food ever been PERFECT?!?!?!? This is NOT a 4-star restaurant:rolleyes:

I think Group 2 had the better performance overall but group 1 had the better outfits. I would wear group 1's jeans.

I predict Meah goes home.
