Amaya was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma chapter at UCLA.

If you sift through the old posts, there are TONS of opinions regarding Amaya's Greek affiliation under "Real World Greeks".

From what I've heard the actual statistic is all but two US Presidents since 1825 have been Greek. I was curious as to who was what, so I did a little research. I'm nowhere near done, but you can see what I've come up with so far at: http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/...ML/001938.html . I hope that helps.

I'll second that! Yup she's working on the campiagn, although Im not clear as to why, she said she doesnt want to go into politics, but Hey, What ever floats your boat~! I actually like McCain :)

AlphaChiGirl 08-23-2001 09:24 PM

JFK Jr. was a member of Phi Kappa Psi at Brown University.

Ted Turner pledged Kappa Sig while he was there, but I'm not sure he initiated, after all...he was kicked out.

Tom and Tom (Nantucket Nectars) are also Kappa Sigs--same chapter.

Sean Morey (New England Patriots) is a Theta Delta Chi.

Ruth Simmons is an AKA. I read on these pages that she's a Delta, but no. Sorry.

SigmaChiCard 08-26-2001 06:13 PM

Anyone know of any famous Sigs?
I know about Brad Pitt, Dave Letterman, and the "Duke," but past that..I cannot think of any

This isn't meant to belittle, but does TKE honorarily initiate often? I know that Willy Nelson was initiated that way, as was the football coach at my university. I don't know of us ever doing that (perhaps we have though) nor could I ever see my chapter doing that, so do many orgs do that?

Bro2B 08-26-2001 07:22 PM

Hey SigmaChiCard, Sigma Chi actually did one honorary initiation that I know of. It happened to be a United States President. Can you guess which one? If you don't want to guess, open your Shield and find out. :)
