Sounds like no matter what happens at Pref, you're ending up where you want to be :) I'm so happy for you chantilly. You will be an asset to whichever chapter you join.

As for the rush crush comment, it just means that the girl really likes you. We used to use that phrase sometimes for a girl we really wanted, but not to them. I don't know that I'd classify it as a rush infraction though, as she wasn't saying it on behalf of the chapter.

In any case, best of luck, and I can't wait to hear where you go!

Sooooo i just got back from pref - i went to gamma phi beta and alpha phi. both ceremonies were SO beautiful and i cried like a little lost child at both. kind of embarassing. the girl that preffed me at gamma phi was the SAME girl from my table the first night, and she has talked to me and rushed me every day since. i just love her and we connect on so many levels. tonight we talked a lot about getting really involved in g phi b and ideas i had and stuff. i love it i love it i love it! then i went to alpha phi and the girl that preffed me was the girl i met yesterday (the one who made the "im so glad i met you are just so sweet and cute etc" comment) and i loved it there too. i was in SUCH a predicament when i had to sign my pref card! i started crying again!!!! argh! but finally after like 20 min and a lot of support from my rho chi i preffed g-phi-b and put alpha phi second and theta third. then i started crying again! ahhh! i wasn't sure if i made the right choice but the thing is, i would love to be in either house. i love all the girls in both houses, but i felt like i fit in with the gamma phi's the best. i just hope i made the right decision! everyone says that you just "know in your heart" where to go, but I DIDN'T and now i am so worried... grr my mom is trying to calm me down now and i think im gonna go to bed and TRY to sleep.... i get my bid tomorrow at 1:30 (if i even get one)... if i dont get one my rho chi will call me tomorrow morning... oh man!!! i am pretty sure i made the right decision, and i guess well just wait and see what happens tomorrow! byebye ladies! xoxo

YAY!!! You will have the BEST time w/your new sisters! Now I'm having flashbacks of when I ran to my Rho Chi (who is now my sister); she handed my bid card, I ran inside, and they were all singing, put a lei on me (it was a Hawaiin theme, gave me a tote bag w/letters on it and stuff inside (t-shirt, cup, and buttons). :D I'll never forget it, and I'm sure you'll never forget yours!!! After my meeting tonight I'm going to check here to see if you've posted anything about your new sisters. Have an awesome day! :D

hey guys! its only 9:30 am my time and i amd SOOO anxious! I have been up since 7:30 and i can't go back to bed!!!
thank you all sooooo much for being excited for me! i promise ill tell you AS SOON as i find out because i get my bid at 1:30 (assuming i receive one...) and then we don't have rho chi revealing until 3:15... then bid day parties start at 3:30. so i definately have time to come back and post the results!!

sooo it's almost time for me to leave and i still haven't gotten a call!! i figure im going to leave at about 1:15 so i can get there early and find out early (you get your bids, invites etc. in order of who arrives first). im so nervous! i don't even know why - i adore all of the three houses i listed on my pref card.... i just want to know so bad!!! aahhh this suspense is killing me! ten more minutes before i get to leave! I CANT WAIT!!!

SOOOO...
i went to pick up my bid and i was SO NERVOUS by the time my rho chi invited me into the room. she led me over to her table and sifted through until she found a creme envelope with my name on it. she said "i think youll be really happy!" and handed me the envelope. as i opened the envelope i saw the crest at the top of the invitation and knew! im now a GAMMA PHI BETA at the University of San Diego!!!! I WAS SOOO HAPPY!!! My rho chi gave me a huge hug and i still cant stop smiling! i have to go back at 3:15 for my rho chi revealing and at 3:30 i go to my bid day parties! YAYAYAYA! im so happy! ill write you all later tonight!!!
