I'm glad. I just want to watch without thinking about how the refs will screw up next!

Woohoo! We won, we won! My Vikings kicked butt and took names today.:p

Ugh, that last penalty killed us. Should've won that game, but still:

GO GIANTS!!!!!

NinjaPoodle 10-09-2012 03:59 PM

We were out on a bye this past weekend but the loss to Chi-town. :(

moe.ron 10-09-2012 06:19 PM

As usual, the Giants showed up late. Tough schedule ahead, they need to show up early and no more come from behind. It's gonna give me a heart attack.

moe.ron 10-14-2012 09:12 PM

I thought that it was going to be a very close game, did not expect a beat down by the Giants.

Me neither, but I was happy. Apparently my new jersey is a lucky jersey.

I have to say, though ... I would not want to play Seattle in Seattle. Ever. They're not the best team in the NFC, but they're dangerous. Wreckerball.

I am enjoying the four-way, 3-3 tie in the AFC East.

TonyB06 10-15-2012 10:15 AM

...how do we lose to the sad-sack Cleveland Browns? :(

I say good for them. It's always refreshing to see a new team enjoying the spotlight.

p.s. Go Pats! :)

They need to stop messing around. That loss to the Steelers really annoyed me.

Of course his concussion has nothing to do with the fact that I slammed a doll's head in my silverware drawer. That's my story and I'm sticking to it :)

PS Go Stillers! (except for Ben who is an a$$ and probably deserves his own doll)

Okay, so hopefully that will be the 1 and only!

The loss to the Bengals hurt badly. Swear, this time never make it easy for our health. Need this bye week to recover from my heart attack.

moe.ron 12-18-2012 08:56 PM

The Giants really really frustrate me. On a given sunday, they can be the most complete dominating team, and the next sunday they can suck so badly I would be tempted to bang my head against the wall.

Oh well, could be worst, I could be a Jets fan

SIGH. I am pushing Sunday's game to the back of my mind, never to be thought of again.

I am extremely frustrated with the Jets. Everything they're doing defies common sense. I hope that there's a big sweep through the franchise and they wake up and do some things right. Sheesh.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, I don't blame Rex Ryan at all. The problem is upper mgt and the owner.

None of y'all can complain until you live in Detroit.

trisigma212 01-09-2013 01:01 AM

I went to the Skins game on Sunday. Everyone in that stadium wanted RGIII to sit down. Now he needs surgery. We need to get rid of the Shanahan's. Seriously. Fans love the Skins, hate Snyder and the Shanahan's.

The way Shanahan been playing that kid, I kept on thinking that 5 years down the road he'll be one of those "would've been a HOF if that injury didn't happen"

They seriously need to stop with this. It's like driving a car until its got 200,000 miles and you drive it until it dies. Only in his case, because he's one of like 5 people carrying the entire team, he gets much more mileage piled on. People are comparing his knee to Adrian Peterson's, but they really aren't the same. AP's knee was an injury on a healthy knee. RGIII's injury is on a re-injured knee that was already fixed once during his college career. They're saying 6-8 months, but even that's optimistic. They shouldn't have said anything since he JUST HAD SURGERY TODAY.

Yeah, I can tell you as a Seattle fan I've been pretty appalled at a few things having to do with that game and the way the Redskins organization is conducting itself publicly. First, that the coach played RGIII when he was clearly injured and in pain; second, the doctor and coach daring to say a peep about the prognosis and healing time before the dude was probably even recovered from the anesthesia; third, the horrible (and dangerous) playing surface (most high schools around here have nicer fields than that)...not only did RGIII get a season-ending knee injury, one of the Seahawks players did, too.

Socalparent 01-10-2013 08:52 PM

My daughter has had 3 knee surgeries, two similar to RGIII's, one on each knee. Every ortho will tell you what your options are and then give you a conservative and aggressive return timeframe to competing. 6-8 months for an ACL surgery is about the norm.

If RGIII's surgery was anything like my daughter's (and her ortho trained with his ortho), he was in the passive resistance machine the same day, starts rehab 1 week later (maybe earlier as a pro). The process begins right away. All about getting flexibility and flexion in the knee. One thing though, it's a grind.

Hope we can see a healthy RGIII back on the field soon.

D-town and the Broncos....

Representing Bronco's Nation here...

"United In Orange"
Okay, I HATE, HATE, HATE the orange jerseys. They look like the fighting popsickles. I really miss the navy blue jerseys. The white look kind weenieish.

I admit that I was not a big Peyton fan. To say say that I was skeptical is an understatement. Tebow had a squeeky clean image. He seemed to have so much promise. Manning has so many injuries and to the neck. I really thought that he should have retired. I am impressed. Tebow, regretfully, has proved to be a lost sole. I hope that he finds himself an NFL home. He was a national media darling. Granted, I think that copyrighting Tebowing is way too much.

However, this team is not just about Peyton. There is so much more. The old ORANGE CRUSH defense is back. Dumerville is kicking ass. Champ Bailey has always held the defense together. Now, he has some youngsters to help him.
Never could this have been done with out Denver's Darling, John Elway. He stepped into an executive role when most believed he should have worked his way into it. He got Peyton here.

Denver has been on a winning streak. We shall see if we can keep it.

After all that we have been through as a city, the fires and the Aurora shooting tragedy, it is welcome change to this city and state. I liken this to how New Orleans felt after winning and Katrina. Only what we have been through is nothing compared to New Orleans and the Gulf.

The Broncos aren't playing the Patriots this week. And they might not play each other next week. Why does everyone just assume that this is going to occur?

I'm a Patriots fan (living in Houston, no less), and it's driving me crazy that everyone - along with every sports commentator here - is handing this one over to the Patriots before it's even started. It's one thing to predict that the Pats are going to win; it's another to declare that this will be a second bye week for them (I'm talking to you, Shaughnessy).

I heard an interesting stat tonight... of all teams that have won by more than 28 points in the regular season against a certain team, when playing that same team in the playoffs that same year, the overall record is 11-11. So as I see it, the Pats still have (according to normal odds and historical statistics) a 50/50 chance of winning the game.

It's the playoffs, people... anything can happen.

But of course, I'm still cheering on my Patriots :)

I was going to ask about your thoughts on us having a second bye week, but that sums it up. Seeing as how we played really well against them a few weeks ago, and with Gronk up to speed (hopefully) I feel like it'll be a good game.

I'm definitely hoping for a good game. And of course I'm hoping the Patriots win. I'm just not willing to say that the Pats are going to have it easy. But again.. these are the playoffs.. anything can happen!

And I'm always excited to see Gronk on the field. I just wish he could have stayed healthy all season.. it killed my fantasy team! :p
