Tonights show reinforced my feeling that I am glad Ivy is gone.

AlisonMK 10-08-2010 10:46 AM

I agree that Ivy is horrible, but what about Heidi last night? She was acting like such a diva - I felt so sorry for Mondo. Gretchen, not so much. ;)

groovypq 10-08-2010 10:56 AM

I think everyone seems more catty this season. But Ivy was pure bitterness.

Also, I'm sick of twists. Used to be you got one twist in one challenge in a season, now it seems like there's one every week. Can't it be about letting them do the best work they can for the challenge, and not how much they can pull out of their @sses?

Oh, and I think last night's challenge was a yawn.

KSUViolet06 10-08-2010 06:14 PM

^^^It WAS a yawn. I also don't feel like anyone's workout wear stood out to me.

indygphib 10-08-2010 06:31 PM

I thought the winner's outfit was totally fug. I would have put it in the bottom three.

Tulip86 10-08-2010 06:34 PM

I was beyond annoyed with this challenge.. it was just s.... unfashionable!

I loved the pin flying in her face too. Karma's a bitch.

Overall it was a fairly boring episode. Most everyone's stuff looked sloppy and boring. I did think that Mondo should have won...once again. He's a talented little elf, isn't he?

ms_gwyn 10-09-2010 01:42 AM

I really did like Michael C's outfits...I find that I like most of his cloths.....perhaps it could be considered ready to wear and not *fashion* has Michael Kors has said about one of Christopher's outfits....

Every competition reality show out there is leaning towards showing more of the drama and I'm getting tired of it....its a competition, in this case....fashion...show me the concept and how that concept became reality and stylization of that outfit....

I also have notice that either the judges are focused a lot on styling this season, or the editors/producers want to highlight styling....either way it makes me think that Lifetime will be showing a stylist competition show soon...

LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!

Oh yea, I totally want Mondo to win....

Ditto.

Damn it! I wanted Gretchen to goooo hoooome. :( Aww fiddlesticks.

DaffyKD 10-22-2010 01:44 AM

So close and yet so far away. Get to design a collection and then not get to show. Wow!

Hated Gretchen's outfit with the model's boobs hanging out, hated Michael's feather dress, not fond of Andy's bathing suit, and Mondo showed one I was not fond of but right now my brain can't remember what it was I did not like so can't describe which one it was.

I thought Gretchen's granola was for sure out. I really felt bad for Michael C. True, his one-color mini collection wasn't the greatest. Still, he has major parental issues he has to deal with. He wasn't crying because he didn't make it. He cried because it was just one more thing that would disappoint his parents. Why would you want to do that to your kid?

Nice to see Andy go back to his roots (literally) and felt a little sympathetic to Gretchen's heartache at home. I wondered if Mondo shared his secret with his family by the time Tim visited. Good to see Mondo and Andy's families supporting their sons' chosen path.

I'd be happy to see Andy or Mondo take it all.

DreamfulSpirit 10-22-2010 09:04 AM

I'm also cheering for Mondo or Andy. Gretchen is a good designer, she has just annoyed me all season.

DaffyKD 10-22-2010 02:19 PM

The judges seem to think Gretchen is oh so fantastic. I had hoped she would be gone. I don't see her collection as being show worthy. As Michael has said-- she makes wearable clothes not show clothes.

:( I cried.

Me too.

sceniczip 10-22-2010 11:53 PM

I'd be happy if anyone won other than Gretchen! I really liked Michael though.

KSUViolet06 10-23-2010 01:36 AM

Just now catching up on the DVR.

I seriously don't even know what to type.

WTF?

Ugh.

I don't get it.

Consider me Team ANYONE BUT GRETCHEN.

KSUViolet06 10-29-2010 01:31 AM

Ugh.

Maybe I'm a little granola myself, but I liked her "collection." There were actually outfits I would wear. I loved some of Mondo's stuff (especially the long polka dot gown Michael Kors hated so much), but could I ever wear it? Not in this lifetime!

Given the people involved, I did want to see Mondo win. I just want to hug him and have him sew me a wild frock to wear to Trader Joes!

I kinda liked her clothes. Hated Andy's and liked Mondo's as well...

AlisonMK 10-29-2010 10:20 AM

I'm depressed. I think Mondo would have won if he'd done away with the kooky headpieces.

AOII Angel 10-29-2010 10:31 AM

What a terrible season.

PiPhiERDoc 10-29-2010 11:21 AM

Jessica Simpson looked terrible. If a professional was responsible for that "look" she should fire that stylist immediately.

The saddest part is that I'm 95% sure she was wearing Michael Kors. Maybe that's why he was so pissy.

groovypq 10-29-2010 11:56 AM

Yeah, I'm not one to call another woman fat, but that dress and the slicked-back hair was just unflattering. She kinda looked preggers...

Oh, and can she please learn to speak without clenching her jaw?

ms_gwyn 10-29-2010 03:29 PM

I fell asleep during the judging...so I take it that Mondo nor Andy won??

grrrrr

ASUADPi 10-29-2010 05:20 PM

I really wanted Mondo to win.

But.....

I figured the moment it was mentioned that Seth Aaron was the "Mondo" of last season, that his shot of winning was slim to none. (But I was a huge Seth Aaron fan last season!)

However, I would probably have worn more of Andy's stuff, just because my taste isn't to Mondo's end of the spectrum.

Gretchen's looks ... OMG. It was like a 60-year-old woman. Casanova has no need to worry about old ladies having no clothes with Gretchen around. All she needed was her models standing next to Captain Stubing. I found the colours horrendous - and can't figure out why Andy gets called out for monochromatic, while Gretchen gets a pass?

I honestly don't understand how Gretchen can be considered high fashion at all. It's Sears catalogue circa 1979.

LOL'd at rank Ivy calling out Gretchen at the reunion - you KNOW she was doing that because she thought if she bitched out Gretchen people might hate her less. No, Ivy. We hate you because you're a troll-like bitch, and no amount of you speaking against anyone is going to change that.

Overall I thought it was a really lackluster season.

Big Ditto to all of this! Did anyone notice April jumping on the "I hate Gretchen" bandwagon, too?! She left the show as BFFs with her and was shooting daggers at her on the reunion!! Watching the show changes everything!

I just watched the finale and am still choking back my vomit.

lol

It was a truly horrible finale. I don't care who the judges are, that was NOT high fashion. The whole season sucked.

Yep. I'm still pretty pissed about who won the whole shebang. Mondo definitely should have walked away as the winner.
