CG...batman vs Spidey...you are saying Spidey would win??? How so??

I tried turning the graphics settings down, and it helped a little, but still, the bigger my army gets, the slower my computer gets.:(

Because Spiderman has the strength and agility of a spider which is like super-human strength. Batman is just a human being with a few gadgets, and a car. He doesn't even have anything special that a real bat has. I mean, at least give him sonar. Oh, and he's got a lisp, too. lol :p

Oh, and look who Batman fights against. They don't have special powers, either. Spiderman's enemies have special powers.

I dunno, Batman just reminds me of "The Red Mist" from the movie "Kick Ass". lol

Batman wins any fight he has time to prepare for. Batman can beat Superman if necessary (and is the only owner of Green Kryptonite in at least one DC universe)

First meeting, Batman might lose. Second meeting, Batman wins.

(It's only in the new movies where they're being more 'real' and less fanciful with Batman's enemies. Go to the comics)

You forgot: Batman is a trained martial artist...2. he has fought against MANY super powered beings (Bane, Clayface, even DarkSeid)...and won (even Superman as Drole mentioned) 3. He has billions at his disposal to make anything he would need to defeat Spider-man...mostly Spider-man never comes off as someone that would go all out to stop someone...Batman would...and to compare Red Mist to Batman???

Blasphemous!

Drolefille 06-28-2010 12:34 PM

The standard trope is, if Batman has time to prepare, Batman wins.

Otherwise it's about 50/50 (or based on the speed of plot).

Superman? I can beat him. Anyone can with kryptonite. Chuck Norris is also a trained martial artist. A trained martial artist against someone who can pick up cars and throw them doesn't stand a chance. I've seen Spiderman pick up cars and thrown them. I mean, not very far, but he has. Spiderman is also too quick for Batman. What's the difference between "The Red Mist" and Batman? They both are normal human beings with money and a cool car. lol

Oh, and if Spiderman really wanted to totally stop someone, he could. I think Batman is like the worst superhero, ever.

And I just love Spidergirl, she would flick Batman with her finger, and win.:p

DaemonSeid 06-29-2010 05:30 PM

CG...you are killing me....

anyways... HuluPlus is now available for mobile devices...check it out and the read the fine print.

I agree with you about Superman vs. Batman.

But Chuck Norris can beat anyone and anything. When he isn't busy going through NPC recruitment or dying for our sins, he is fixing the BP oil spill and kicking Superman's ass. I'm jes sayin....

At the end of the day, the X-Men and Venom are among the best comic book characters.

With all of the immigration and terrorism talk in America, we really need to bring back Captain America and G.I. Joe. Excellent examples of how these characters are signs of the times.

ETA: I just saw this http://paralleluniverse.msn.com/feat...ory/?gt1=28140 Oh hell no.

what???

Sweetie....where have you been? Captain America is about to be a movie and his comic is still a top selling comic and GI Joe...is still GI Joe.

You lose 10 geek cred points and skip a turn

Drolefille 06-29-2010 06:21 PM

Batman's still the best.

But the X-men are good too when they're making a horrendous movie.

I spend time in comic book stores and know that CA and GI Joe are still popular with older geeks like us. However, Captain America and GI Joe (outside of the decent but not excellent movie they did) aren't reaching non-geeks and younger enthusiasts like Batman et al are. I don't think CA with Tommy Lee Jones will do anything spectacular.

WHHHOOOOOooooaaaaahhhhh...let's make sure we are on the same page heyah...slow down...you DO know that Tommy Lee is NOT Cap right??

2. Captain America was assassinated and replaced with Bucky and just returned to life with a story arc that just completed earlier this year

3. I don't know about the reaching out part because I know where I am he's still popular with a lot of people BUT...at the same time....Batman has had 2 successful movies.

Plus you know about the Thor movie that is coming right?

Drolefille 06-29-2010 06:29 PM

They're building up an Avengers movie. No, Thor and Cap haven't been as big and out there as some of the other comic heroes, but that's changing as the Iron Man movies have done well.

GI Joe doesn't really have a place right now. I think it'll do OK with the movie series they started, but it's too associated with the cheesy classic cartoon.

DaemonSeid 06-29-2010 06:31 PM

LOL. Yes, the article I posted is clear on that. ;) I can't imagine the CA movie being that great (it can either be great like the Batman movie, moderate like GI Joe movie, or horrible like the Hulk movie :p) and I'm making Tommy the fall guy. I needed a fall guy.

If Marvel is building towards an Avengers Movie, then they need not for those movies to fail.

The Hulk or Batman? And Daemon, if you say Batman, then I'm convinced that you're just obsessed by the movie's popularity, lisp and all.

The Hulk will crush Batman. Oh wait, Batman gets his butt kicked by Catwoman all the time. lol

CG it has nothing to do with the movie...you need to take a look at Batman (and Hulk) as a character in the comic continuity not just what you see onscreen.

Now unless Batman has something along the lines of Tony Stark's Hulkbuster

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/images...lk-ironman.jpg

Then it might be an even fight...otherwise...

HULK SMASH.

agzg 06-29-2010 09:42 PM

Hulk would beat Batman.

Also, Ironman is still the poor man's Batman.

Kthnx.

Poor man's.....whut???? LOL

Both of them are filthy rich !!

However...while Tony Stark may be smarter intellectually than Batman, Batman would PROBABLY win in a fight as he doesn't have to rely on as many gadgets as Stark would.

What you should be asking is RDJ vs Bale...

In the movies:

A. Stark Industries' HQ is NOT one of the most recognizable buildings in the Midwest - Wayne Tower is.

B. Tony Stark MAY be smarter than Batman, but he's also way stupider. No one ever stole Batman's suit, did they?

C. RDJ is hot.

But Tony is in an iron suit. I mean, I could beat the Hulk if I had the same iron suit. The latest Iron Man movie proved that anyone who knows how to operate that suit can do a lot of damage. I just can't see how anyone could think a normal human being with martial arts training can beat a monster than can smash cars together. C'mon, get real. Daemon, I don't know that much about comics like you do, but let's use common sense, here. There's no way Batman could beat The Hulk.

You didn't finish reading my post CG...I said HULK would win.

And Stark has beaten Hulk in a Hulkbuster (thus the purpose for having a Hulkbuster suit) ....you saying you don't know much about comics just states that you didn't see that...and again...you cannot base what you know about comics characters based upon movies that are what?....based on comics characters....

Boy, Wayne Tower in the background there sure looks a lot like:

http://bestnweb.com/images/photo/tal...e-building.jpg

Also, much of the batmobile footage was shot on Lower Wacker Drive. What city would have a street named Lower Wacker and not crack a smile at it?
Oh that's rght.

I'm just saying, because of my geographic loyalties, I have to vote for Batman. Batman is still a hero without the Batmobile - Tony Stark is a wimp in a suit without his Ironman suit.

The first thing I thought of when I read that was The Avengers, from the 1960's.

Of course, they already tried to make an Avengers movie, and, well... with all due credit to Uma Thurman, there is only one Mrs. Peel, and that's Diana Rigg.
