So...After speaking with the girl I thought it was (or was lead to believe) based on the name, this is NOT that girl. I personally spoke to this girl and she said she had no account on GC. I then spoke to the Advisor again. She said that there is only ONE girl in the chapter with that name (the girl I spoke with). In a pm to me, this girl referred to how things are at "Penn" and as any Pennsylvanian knows, referring to "Penn" when talking about PENN STATE is a def. No-No. There is a BIG difference between "Penn" and "Penn State" so, I am happy to announce that this woman is not recognized by my chapter. She is a troll. Please do not let what she has said reflect on my GLO or my chapter.

Perp_burberry hasn't been banned so now she can troll but can no longer claim Phi Mu.

I'm glad that you found this out. Sometimes people aren't who they lead us to believe they are, so i'm glad she isn't fooling you anymore :)

Thanks. I am so annoyed. I didn't share anything with her. I'm glad she is gone but, she really did a number on my chapter. She made us sound like a bunch of snobbish stuck-up skanks, who like to homewreck and have no pride in being a member of the NPC. I assure everyone that the ladies of my chapter are just that-LADIES! My chapter is full of many girls who understand the importance of having panhellenic spirit! I appreciate it, epchick. :)

als463, I don't think she did a number on your chapter or on Phi Mu. We peeped her game early on and no one person is that powerful, anyway. ;)

Als, I think it was evident we never assumed that she was reflection of your sorority or chapter even for the brief period we considered that she actually COULD have been a member.

The issue is perps and also stolen identity. Someone can be totally legit when you check a directory or ask around but that doesn't mean it's the person who is really behind the username. When in doubt, people should contact the person in question and not just say "I saw your name on the directory..." when typing to a username.

True, i'm not suggesting typing out my ritual to someone via PM just because I can look them up in the directory but there are varying levels of trust.

I'll second the "I never thought the troll represented Phi Mu" line of thinking; I know too many great Phi Mus IRL to believe that anyone the likes of this is in any way, shape or form representative of the group! But I am happy she (he?) has been busted.

Thanks, SWTXBelle. I know a few really great Gamma Phis IRL, as well. They are very lovely women. I have friends in pretty much every NPC and a few in the NPHC. Every person I have come across, IRL has represented these groups wonderfully. That reminds me, I must get to the "Where have you seen your letters" thread.
