I happened to see this story this morning, and I'm just HORRIFIED! :eek: I don't even know what to SAY!!! I can't help wondering if he was heartbroken because Taylor filed for divorce, ... or if he was just devastated at the amount of his personal life that had been exposed on national television. Whenever I see a wealthy person take his own life, my first thought usually assumes that they were having money problems. If he was still alive, he certainly would have money problems, because the alimony and child support payments would be news for all the world to see. I feel so horrible for every single person involved with this. :(

I read one article today where they interviewed Russell's ex-wife and she had less than favorable comments regarding Taylor's extravigant spending and how she felt that Taylor pushed him too hard.

I'm really heartbroken for them. I always felt sorry for him and the way Taylor treated him. You could tell he was uncomfortable with the cameras and being around that group.

Rich people and suicide isn't always about money. I know of a VERY wealthy man from Michigan who committed suicide, leaving behind adult twins and a beautiful, sweet wife. He was bipolar.

I'll be walking in the Out of the Darkness walk here in Michigan in a few weeks. Amazing the things you learn but reading about a devastating disease. Everyone thinks those who do it are selfish, but it goes far beyond that.

It looks like there will be two funerals. What a mess.

This is extremely strange. Not sure if there are ties or what (if any) business dealings they had together but the story just keeps getting weirder.

I say there are ties. If part of Armstrong's suicide was his debt and struggling business, his business associate may have felt abandoned and even more desperate. There is definitely other stuff going on but that's the more immediate assumption that I make.

I'm also intrigued by the stories now coming out about Taylor and the lifestyle she was so desperate to emulate (a la Adrienne & Lisa) b/c they really do have money and she so wanted to be a part of that circle. I read the article in US Weekly that her initial opening line for Season 2 was something to the effect that she worked to hard to live in that zip code (Beverly Hills) to leave it now. The more I read about her, the more disturbing picture it paints of her.

I think this is yet another dose of reality for reality tv. People are trying so hard to live up to a false reality.

I think Taylor's going to need some professional help to deal with all of this (that is, if she's not getting it already). I couldn't imagine how tough this has to be for her. She was abused as a child, ... then she married a man who abused her, ... now she has to live with his decision to commit suicide. And, after all that, another person does the same?? I have to wonder what is really going on with all this.

I think it was quite a noble move for her to start a foundation helping to bring awareness to abuse, but I find it quite disturbing that while she was helping to promote this foundation, she was actually enduring in her marriage the very thing she was trying so hard to help stop. :(

Huh. I wonder why Camille wasn't present? It seems Kyle, Kim, Lisa & Adrienne were all there for Taylor but not Camille.

Just finished watching it & I have a few thoughts. First, LOVED the episode. Even more, I LOVE Adrienne's shoe closet. I'm suffering a serious case of shoe envy towards Adrienne & Lisa right now. Lol!

Taylor is irritating. I didn't care much for her last season and I still don't. I do feel bad for her situation but her personality rubs me the wrong way. She's money obsessed, IMO. I was surprised BRAVO kept in the scenes with her discussing her failing marriage. I thought they were editing this part of the show.

I did agree that Ken was condescending & insulting when he commented that going to therapy would make him feel weak. I agree that if people are trying to make things work, therapy is a very good option and has NOTHING to do with weakness. That being said, I think Kyle needs to learn to butt out & let Taylor handle herself. She's a big girl & doesn't need Kyle to be her pitbull.

For once, Kim & Camille stayed out of the drama. :) (For now)

I foresee the editing making Lisa the villain here since it seems she will be feuding with Taylor all season as well as with Kyle since Taylor & Kyle are BFF's now. :rolleyes: It's a shame b/c I think Lisa is very perceptive when it comes to Taylor but Kyle doesn't see it.

Lastly, the previews of Brandi Glanville are NOT promising. They're making her come across as a psycho bitch right from the start. LOL! This should be fun.

Yeah, I watched it today, too. I love that they started it off with the ladies reacting to Russell's suicide. Very heartfelt. And, yeah, I feel you on the shoe thing, because the ones Lisa had on with the rocks around the ankle were so awesome. And, was it just me, or did Adrienne seem hoarse throughout this episode ... And she's had MORE plastic surgery that has her looking like "Madam" from Solid Gold back in the day.

I didn't particularly care for Taylor, either ... but, obsessed with money? Hmm ... I never really picked up on that, but she does wimper to Kyle a lot, and is absolutely scared crapless by Lisa.

I felt like Taylor over-reacted to Ken, as he was only saying how it would make HIM feel, not that everyone else should feel that way. I just wish Taylor would stand on her own two feet and stop expecting Kyle to speak up for her. But considering everything Taylor has gone (is going) through, I can't help but expect her to be overly sensitive and defensive about everything and everybody.

Yeah, I picked up on that, too. It's hard for me to see Lisa as some kind of villain. She'll call a spade a spade in a heartbeat, and she is NO FOOL when it comes to other people's intentions.

Now, who the hell is this Brandi Glanville?? Because, judging by previews, this woman's presence causes these women to turn into Housewives of Atlanta. Time to google her, I guess ... LOLOL!!!

I say obsessed with money because prior to Russell's suicide, in articles I would read and interviews she would give, she would always bring up how Lisa & the other ladies have more money than her. In fact, prior to Russell's suicide, her new opening line during the opening credits was something to the effect of how now that she finally lives in the 90210, nothing is going to take that away from her. Other clips from the season (again, prior to the suicide & editing), she made various comments (mainly to Kyle) about money. And yes, I think she is scared AND intimidated by Lisa.



Agreed! Lisa was the only one (and still is for some strange reason) that picked up on the fact that Camille went after Kyle only AFTER Taylor went to talk to her in Vegas and Taylor was the one bringing up the insecure comment. Lisa brought that up to Kyle before but Kyle doesn't want to listen.



Brandi Glanville is the ex-wife of Eddie Cibrian. It made headlines when he was caught cheating on her with LeAnn Rimes while filming some made for TV movie while she was also still married to that dancer guy. Other than this, I don't know why else she would be famous. And I completely agree about her turning them into the RHOA. God, I hope not! Lol!

Did anyone else notice that Camille looked really good last night. Didn't have the surprised-eyes that she did last season.

Agree on the above comments of Taylor. While I feel very sad for her and her daughter, she is very manipulative and I still think she lies to make herself look better.

Here's something else I forgot to comment about.

Jackpot is cute but I'm sorry. Jackpot does NOT hold a candle to Giggy. LOL! ;)

As for Camille, she probably didn't get her Botox or injections or whatever near her eyes so she definitely looked better. She looked softer (if that makes any sense).

Taylor didn't live in BH. I believe that her home is in the Palisades. I like Lisa. I may not agree with the Vanderpumps regarding therapy, but they weren't disrespectful. Ken just said that HE thought it was a weakness...not YOU are weak.

But I am team Jackpot....he is adorable.

Not all the ladies live in Beverly Hills. Lisa & Adrienne actually live in Beverly Park (a ritzier area than Beverly Hills & Bel Aire). Camille lives in Malibu. Taylor lives in Pacific Palisades. Kyle lived in Bel Aire but as shown on the show, they put that house on the market. No word on where they're moving to yet. Kim might be the only that actually lives in Beverly Hills.

No one writes "Bel Air" unless they are very pretentious The developers of Beverly Park got the "Beverly Hills, California" as part of the development. It is crazy expensive. .But we are all in agreement: Letting your dog drink out of your glass and then drinking...disgusting.

I watched the episodes last night. They began with the "this was filmed before..." disclaimer and included the Suicide Prevention Hotline.

It's all so sad. With what happened, I have a difficult time watching these couples argue and these women fuss.

The Bravo website has all of the ladies "Cribs". Adrienne's home is 19,000 square feet.

First, he was allowed to drink from Adrienne's wine glass that Ken promptly took a sip from right afterwards. She's so full of it. She's going to be writing a book on her abuse (amongst other things, I'm sure) and those pictures were rumored to be in the book. She's doing the interview with ET, because Barbara Walters wanted to ask her certain questions and her team didn't approve of those questions.
