I'm up earlier than usual, because today I have to work at another location. On Mondays we do about 9-10 surgeries there.

WinniBug 06-08-2009 07:11 AM

my 2-month old woke up hungry about 5 so i woke up to nurse her
she was WIDE AWAKE when i tried to go back to bed with her about 6

RU OX Alum 06-09-2009 05:03 AM

I'm later than usual, I'm not at 100% so I'll be taking it easy in the gym.

cheerfulgreek 06-09-2009 06:32 AM

I'm up early just because..I'm off today.:)

DaemonSeid 06-10-2009 07:59 AM

They do that in Chicago, too.

What's a deuce and how do you drop one?

I know that my middle school kids throw up the peace sign to each other and say "Deuces" but that's all I know of it. I've never understood that either.

A deuce is to go "number two."

My life everyday. And mine is 7.5 months old. Nice that she goes back to sleep around 7... just about the time my 2 year old is getting up. Ugh.

As long as it's not McDonalds.:p

RaggedyAnn 06-12-2009 05:36 AM

I'm up a little earlier today to serve food at a shelter with the Junior League. I feel guilty thinking this is too early.

RU OX Alum 06-12-2009 05:40 AM

I decided to stop getting up at 4. I think 5 is early enough.

agzg 06-12-2009 07:22 AM

I really hope I don't end up wearing the same outfit as the girls who sit with me again today. It's sad when you have to coordinate so you DON'T match.

RU OX Alum 06-12-2009 07:34 AM

^^^what? haha

Weird, I know, but on Wednesday all three of us that sit in our rooms were wearing pretty much matching outfits.

Then yesterday, I was wearing the same color on top and bottom that one of the other girls was wearing. It wouldn't be that bad we matched and just sat in the room together, but we go to a lot of the same meetings and tend to leave our desks together so we look like we're trying to match.

I'm confident that on Monday I will not match, and today we didn't, either, thank goodness (although one of the girls said she almost wore the same color shirt that the other wore today, and we were all wearing jeans for casual Friday).

Why is it that I have a tendency to post in this thread in the evenings?

AlwaysSAI 06-14-2009 12:41 PM

I was supposed to get up at 8a for church. My sister woke me up at 7:30a. Ugh.

My sister is visiting this weekend and I do love her so much, but she comes to my house, takes over my space and sets up shop on my couch.

GO HOME ALREADY! I WANT MY COUCH BACK!

^^^^I've got a rainy Tuesday on my hands.

Ugh. Rainy days are meant for bed and movies. Not work.

agzg 06-16-2009 08:23 AM

I'm having mean and superficial thoughts this morning.

A bunch of people from high school that I'm friends with on facebook have gotten married recently. This is mean, but they're not the most attractive girls I've ever seen, and let's leave it there.

Part of it makes me feel bad, like "Oh why is it that some guy wants to marry her but I'm not married yet." Nevermind the fact that live-in would like to get married soon and I'd rather have it a little farther off in the distance. Then I look at pictures they've posted of their weddings. I feel better because I know I certainly wouldn't marry THOSE guys.

Glad they found true love though.

I think that aaaaall the time. You're not alone, I promise. My thoughts run more like this:

"Dang, she has a boyfriend and I'M single. I mean, really, she is not attractive. I'm cute, right? And, I'm fun, right? Wait, I wouldn't want that guy as my boyfriend--she can have him."

lovespink88 06-17-2009 07:33 AM

Alright, so I think I'm up early enough to qualify for the early morning GC thread...and I am NOT happy about that. lol

I've been in a weird sleep cycle since my new job started. The night before I started I was super anxious about making sure I got up in time for work so I could get ready and make it there in time. Where I work is a bit of a ride from my house, and the traffic is always pretty unpredictable, so I was really nervous about that. I only got at the most about 6 hours of sleep. (I know, maybe I shouldn't complain cause that's not that bad, but I have pretty good sleeping habits, and I get on average 8 hours of sleep a night, even during the school year, so 6 throws me off!) The problem was that I fell asleep okay, but I kept waking up, and then had a hard time getting back to bed.

Tuesday night was fine, I slept for about 7 hours. But last night... ugh.. I went to bed at about 11, fell asleep a half hour later, which would have given me 7 hours again...but no, I woke up at 4:30, and then something popped into my head: I get to see my bf today for the first time in a week and a half! Normally this is a happy thought, but it sent me into a "OMG I NEED TO FALL BACK ASLEEP SO I HAVE ENERGY WHEN I SEE HIM AND I CAN STAY UP LATE TO HANG OUT" mode of thinking, and of course, I suddenly started stressing about being about to get back to sleep, so I COULDN'T fall asleep. I'm sure I'm going to pass out on him at like 10. And what sucks is that I wont be able to see him for another week and a half. :( Ugh, I hate this...

Well, on the bright side, at least the job is going well!

RaggedyAnn 06-17-2009 07:36 AM

I have an opera song stuck in my head.

RU OX Alum 06-17-2009 08:00 AM

That sucks. Which one?

The behind the scenes on E! for Home Improvement is on.

AlwaysSAI 06-17-2009 09:19 AM

RaggedyAnn, Opera music is not my favorite---but I love showtunes! I walk around all day singing "If I Ruled the World" from the King & I.

My mom called me at 7:45a. She says, "Hey, AlwaysSAI, are you asleep?" And I said, "Yeah." And, my mom responds with, "Well, not anymore!" Thanks mom.

I roll over to go back to sleep. 10 minutes later my friend calls me to chit chat. I know, usually, I'm an early bird morning person, but sometimes, sleep would be nice. I'm still talking to her now-going on an hour. ugh.

We're supposed to take the clients to the NC Zoo today, but it's raining, so I don't know if we're going to go.

Kevin 06-17-2009 09:23 AM

Apple needs to put their damn software update online already.

RU OX Alum 06-18-2009 05:34 AM

I'm back into a some-what normal routine. I still don't feel 100% though.

AGDee 06-18-2009 06:46 AM

I am completely unmotivated to get ready for work. I'm going to be late. Ugh.

agzg 06-18-2009 07:16 AM

I'm seriously considering calling my landlord right now and making sure he comes to fix the windows today. Would that be mean?

PrettyBoy 06-20-2009 07:09 AM

I'm up this early to go eat breakfast.

1stSoon2BePhD 06-20-2009 07:25 AM

I'm in Spain so it's 1:22 PM local time but 7:22 AM back home.
I took what was supposed to be a "3-hour nap" at 11 PM last night that apparently turned into a 12-hour "coma". I was trying not to be tired when it came time to call my mom last night, but I ended up sleeping through the phone call!

It's hard trying to be in two time zones at once.

agzg 06-20-2009 09:14 AM

I'm up because the dog is used to the new work week schedule and won't let me sleep in!

AlwaysSAI 06-21-2009 08:55 AM

I don't feel like going to church but I agreed to sing, so I must go. In fact, I should stop dilly-dallying and get out the door.

Hahaha! That used to be me almost every Sunday at my old church! I am not a morning person! The church I go to now has Saturday services which I love!

Ok, its not very early anymore, but I have been up for awhile! I taking a Bible class online because I need credits for my school. I have been sick and had a conference for school this week, so I got my professor to give me an extension on my papers and on my exam. Of course, I have waited until the last minute and have still not finished the papers! Guess what I am doing today?

AlwaysSAI 06-21-2009 12:09 PM

^^^Oh, I love the church. It's just hard to get up sometimes. I was so busy dilly-dallying around that I forgot my bible.

Thetagirl218 06-22-2009 08:03 AM

I have been up since 7am catering to the demands of a very demanding 4 month-old Boxer puppy.....How can so much energy be in such a small body?

AlwaysSAI 06-22-2009 09:38 AM

I'm about to have a case of the Bad Mood Mondays.

My computer wouldn't start properly without being reset.
My foot still hurts like hell.
My special K was almost gone so I had to eat crumbs.
Then, I spilled said Special K all over my pants and carpet.
I ran out of metformin so I'm going to be sluggish all day.
Now, I'm running late and will probably be late for work.
