I think "Clueless" came out at some point during the summer, because I remember a bunch of us from my summer league baseball team went to see the movie because of Alicia Silverstone. We couldn't have cared less what the movie was about, we were just hoping it would be one long Aerosmith music video.

Yeah, I know I'm late to the party, but since it got bumped anyway . . . John Denver co-wrote "Leavin' on a Jet Plane," and The Mitchell Trio (of which Denver was a member at the time) recorded it first. Spanky and Our Gang and Peter, Paul and Mary also recorded it before John Denver did his solo recording. Peter, Paul and Mary's version, which was released about six months before John Denver's, turned out to be their only #1 hit (and their last Top 40 hit) on the Billboard chart. Unlike Peter, Paul and Mary, John Denver never released it as a single; he included it on his first solo album.

Just thought I'd throw that out there.
