I just finished last night's episode on the DVR....I hate Tatiana.....

AI has disqualified Joanna Pacitti. They haven't said why, they just replaced her with one of the other girls.

^^^ I believe it was because she had a relationship (or was currently in one?) with one of the 19 Entertainment execs.

Lordy, Me Too! Whenever she starts carrying on and screaming, I watch the others on the screen with her. Their facial expressions are priceless!

I cannot believe that they let Tatiana go through! What happened to filling the top spots with TALENTED people?

How do I say this without sounding too mean.... ok, I can't. Brent Keith's wife SCORED. He is way cuter than she is. And now I'll put myself in the mean girl's corner... at least until the commercial's over.

I just Googled the guy to see what he looked like, and saw that he's apparently been on Nashville Star or something before. He's got info on him up on CMT even. A bunch of these folks have already "made it."

ETA: found this older photo of him online. I hate long hair on men. He doesn't look like as much of a catch in this photo...in fact, he looks like a girl.

A surprising number of contestants are really sucking tonight.

Hopefully Tatiana is one of them and she gets the boot.

The contestants REALLY needed some help with song choice this week. Really... give them some guidance. Some of these songs are terrible, AND the arrangements suck.

I do have to say that there's nothing better than DVRing it and missing all of the commercials and other crap.

Yeah, maybe she snatched him up when we was in his Shawn Cassidy phase, because he looks a lot better now:

I can't believe some of these choices... obscure songs, songs that do not show off their vocal range and don't even get me started on the chick that destroyed The Police song.

It pains me, but Tatiana has been one of the better girls, though the blond mom from earlier should sail into the next round.

Why do I get sucked in year after year?

I HATE Tatiana. But damn, the girl has some pipes and can sing. It's so incongruous. What a whack job, but all of that talent. She's got some of the better, stronger pipes this season.

I know, right? She actually made me like her by her voice ALONE. Strange season.

I could take or leave most of them, but I don't think enough of the ones I liked tonight will be getting through. Did you all hear how they're moving through this year? Taking the top male and female from each of the three groups, then the next best from each, then a wild card. It means that if one group has more talent than another, they're SOL.

Definitely agree with the song choices. What are these people thinking?

I know that Danny sang Mariah, but he's not a girl, so you really can't compare his voice to hers, and it doesn't matter anyway because he's an AMAZING singer.

But I sometimes wonder... do these contestants practice their songs for other people?! I'd be singing on the street asking for opinions if it meant I'd choose the right song. And I would hope that my friends and family would be honest with me if I sucked and needed to choose a different one.

This is how they used to do it the first few years. I like that they are moving through this round faster this year...I hate that it used to take weeks and weeks with the only-eliminating-two system.

I can't even stand to sit through some of the songs when they're singing them. I usually fast-forward through the ones who sound awful. :p

That said, I thought the mom with the pink streak in her hair was really good. I actually picked up the phone and called for her.

I really like Jackie. Pink haired mom was good, but I don't think I can watch her every week. I was really impressed with Tatiana. I don't know if subdued Tatiana is just an act, or if she's really trying to make an effort because her friends gave her a good ass ripping between Hollywood Week and last night.

I still like Anne Marie and Michael Sarver, but they both were just MEH last night.

I was so disappointed with Stevie. I was really looking forward to seeing her perform. I couldn't even watch.

Which one was Jackie - they are all blending together now.

Tatiana held it together until the very end when she blurted out that "plea to America". It was weird, it seemed like she was barely holding on to her poise and just couldn't stop herself from blurting at the end. She seems like she has a personality disorder to me, her reactions are just not quite right for the situation...

She was the first one to perform last night - Elvis' "Little Less Conversation." I was not a big fan of her outfit, but it's okay. :p

Totally agree with you! I think I described her elsewhere as having a Beauty Queen on Crack persona. Last night she was more Psycho Beauty Queen on Zanax. Subdued, yet still a little whacko.

But yes, she CAN sing! I predict that if she doesn't get voted through, the judges will pick her as a wild card because she will be "good tv."

I think Danny G is on the Taylor Hicks train... and it is not going to go far from the station post-idol...

I am a HUGE jackie fan... but i don't think she will get through this round...

I hated Taylor......I think Danny G can do a lot better than Taylor....he has a better voice!

Oh my God, no. Completely disagree. Taylor Hicks winning was a fluke. I don't know how it happened. Most ridiculous thing ever. Danny is VERY good, and everyone could see that weeks ago.

I'm pleased with tonight's results. I thought two were very obvious calls. I thought the second seat was going to go to the other person...but I think that other person will be a contender for a wild card spot. (didn't want to name names for those that haven't seen it yet)

First of all, thank you Leslie for not posting names (for those of us on PST time ;))

I haven't watched AI in a few years... But since I got my DVR, I've been completely hooked on this show! I can't watch it live, because I will only listen to the first 15-20 seconds, and if someone isn't good, I just fast forward thru their song... I dont't know why, but it makes me embarrassed for them, when they don't sing well.

There were only 4 people that I watched their whole performance last night - Alexis Grace (the mom with pink hair), Anoop (my 2nd favorite), Titiana (who I actually can't stand, but think she did a good job last night), and Danny Gokey (my all time favorite since his 1st audition).

There are a couple other contestants, in other groups that I remember I liked, but no one really stood out to me, like Danny did. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he makes it thru!! :) :)

I was happy with one of the finalists, but there are two that didn't make it through that I think would have fared better in the top 12.

And Leslie -- I agree about the wild card. I think that person and one other contestant from tonight will be granted a wild card slot.

I'm looking forward to seeing Nick/Normund, Adam, Kai, and Matt Giraud. None of the girls stand out in my memory.

And singing for us in group 3 (by default):
Alex Wagner-Trugman, Nathaniel Marshall, Von Smith, Felicia Barton, Ju'Not Joyner, Arianna Afsar, Kristen McNamara, Jorge Nunez, Lil Rounds, Kendall Beard, Scott MacIntyre, and Taylor Vaifanua

In that group, I am excited to see Jorge, Arianna, and Lil.

I'm definitely rooting for a lot more guys than gals this season, so the new system for the top 12 might be a huge benefit.

YES to Danny. The other two I'm not a fan of but I'll listen. Maybe they'll grow on me.

Haha to Tatiana for now but I so believe she'll be the wild card pick b/c they have to have a drama queen person on each season. She'll never get my vote.

YayYayYay to tonight's 3, with the addendum that Anoop MUST come back for the wildcard round, then I'll be happy. Those 4 were my favorites after last night. I don't think they'll bring Tatiana back, that girl could seriously snap and be a danger under any more stressful circumstances.

I am shocked that Anoop wasn't in. But I'm confident he'll be a wild card pick, especially if he only missed the third spot by a slim margin!

Totally my pick for the top 3. Hoping against hope that they don't bring Tatiana back! She may bring the drama, but she is a loose cannon waiting to go off!!

I also think Anoop will be back, especiallys since he barely missed being top 3.

I want to see Adam and Nick/Norman next week and hope they make it through, besides having great voices, they add flair!!
