CONSIDERING that Calif., Or, and Washington are locks for Obama as they have been considered this whole time, Obama has won the election. Everyone is giving Obama 207 electorate votes without this state... and those three states have 73 votes combined...

Joe Biden won his seat back in Delaware. Did he even campaign for it?

SWTXBelle 11-04-2008 11:44 PM

I know in Texas we have the LBJ clause - you can run for two political offices at the same time. Wonder if they have the same thing in Delaware.

I'll honestly piss blood if Obama wins AZ.

However (GRUNCH), shit's over kids. Ohio - just sick. Totally sick, plus Florida offsets VA nicely. Wow . . .

Pretty much. The new Dem. Gov. will appoint a replacement. Everyone is hoping his son will run for it in a special election.

Same thing in Connecticut. In 2000, Lieberman won his Senate seat (as a Democrat) without doing any campaigning.

The Democrats took all 5 House seats here. Too bad about Shays (Republican incumbent in my district) - he's done a lot of good work. But hopefully Himes will do good things over the next two years.

Also:anyone just catch the AKA on the NBC coverage? I've been spotting letters during the night, NBC has been filming lots of college groups.

nittanyalum 11-05-2008 12:06 AM

I'm seriously tearing up.

KSUViolet06 11-05-2008 12:08 AM

Can I just say that I am so glad that things are coming to an end?
Elections are always so tough here in Ohio and I've just been so sick of the negativity on both ends. I'm just so excited for things to simmer down and for people to return to normal social interactions. Seriously.

Now let's see what he does.

KSigkid 11-05-2008 12:08 AM

This is more painful than originally thought. And, I got another nasty Facebook message.

If anyone wants to punch me in the gut right now, it's a good time...

Same here. It's amazing and I'm very happy. :) Well, almost happy. I will miss Tina Fey's impressions of Sarah Palin.

I thought she said she was giving up the impressions, regardless of the election results.

Honestly, congratulations to all the Obama voters. I obviously wasn't voting for him, but I'm happy for you all that you got to see your candidate elected. Congrats.

Aww, while I am supremely happy, there is no need to rub it in.

I hope that Obama can unite the country and lead us all together into better times.

Be thankful...because now she won't have to leave Earth.

Oh, and sister Nittany, you're not the only one. I just got off the phone with my mom and we cried together!

AGDLynn 11-05-2008 12:13 AM

I must admit that I didn't study the candidates' platforms word for word but the highlights made me vote Obama.

It may have been wrong of me but when I looked at McCain, I kept seeing Bush and the prospect of Sarah Palin for 4 years - whether she was VP or President. I didn't want that to happen to the country I love.
