UAB starts recruitment on thursday. As of yesterday there were 159 confirmed signed up to go through recruitment.

I have updated Zeta Omega's results - from what I understand, I guess panhellenic allowed then to get the 6 more NMs (quota plus 12!) because those 6 girls completed the process, didnt drop, were on bid lists, etc....I dont know the exact reasoning, but Zeta Omega now has 39 new members!

UAB starts recruitment today with the most girls ever coming through!!! We are so excited! And we may be the only chapter not double recruiting but Im not sure. i cant wait to tell you about our new baby fuzzies!!!

My daughter called me last night about 9:30 or so, telling me she had gotten an email saying they were getting six more girls. She didn't know any specifics. I'm wondering if this a result from the two hour computer problems/wait from Monday's Bid Night. My daughter did say Monday evening when she called, after affiliating with her chapter again, that there were supposedly two girls who went bidless, but were supposed to have received a bid from AXD. However, she wasn't know if it was an error that was going to corrected.

I hope nobody went bidless due to a computer glitch! Whether it's and A Xi bid or another chapter- those poor PNM! How stressed out they must have been. Hope it all works out for everyone. Personally, nobody should go bidless in my perfect world :)

12 girls who went through the process correctly at West GA went bidless even though they preffed. Because quota additions were so high they capped it (obviously not just impacting AZD). Now, I am NOT a recruitment specialist and I certainly don't know the inner workings of UWG recruitment, but I cannot understand how a PNM could go through all that recruitment stuff, go to pref, and not get a bid even though they did not mismatch and did everything right. It baffles me that Panhellenic allowed that, those girls must have been heart broken....imagine that phone call to mom....especially the savvy ones!!

The good news, it is my understanding is that all 12 girls have been picked up by the chapters they wanted or snapped by others, which is fantastic! I'm glad UWG did the right thing, no matter where the PNM ended up.

THANK THE LORD ALL PNM found a home! Even if snapped by someone other than their first choice, they will surely come to love their GLO.

Alpha Xi Delta at Jacksonville State took 21 girls and are COBing 4 more is what one of our advisors told me tonight that is also their advisor

Trish, I was hoping you'd come on the boards to give some more insight as to what happened. And, that was exactly what I feared. The terrible thing about this is, on Bid Night, while the girls were waiting in the auditorium for about two hours PAST the time bids were supposed to have been given out, they finally began calling each Rho Gamma group out-so they could tell each of the twelve girls they did not have a bid! Can you imagine the humiliation and embarrasment felt by each one of those girls? While it all has a happy ending, it doesn't exactly alleviate what they went through. Mistakes happen, yes, but I'm like you, Trish-12? And all of the girls went to pref? And only two prefs? I realize I wasn't there, and don't have all the info, but good grief!

I'm completely hijacking- I know, but I just checked out my chapters new website on the GIN System (Theta Nu) and I am actually in a picture in the little slid show at the top of the page!! Its the pic where all the girls are looking up to the camera, wearing letters, and holding pots and pans in their hands (to bang on before the PNMs come in) I'm in the way back pounding on the back of the other staircase!

( Last year I attended a couple recruitment events for the chapter because I was in NC for work and one of my good friends is the current membership advisor and hounded me to come help! And I had SOOOOOOOOO much fun I am thinking about doing it again this year!)

I dont have any Georgia State bid day pictures yet, but as soon as I do, I'll post them. I am so incredibly proud of them. They worked their tails off and had a very successful recruitment this year - Quota was 21, and they got 24! This puts them at only 6 away from campus total, and they were working on snap bids and have already planned some CORs.
