DMZta-

Why is this confusing to you? Many schools have "Greek Villages" that are owned by the university. Everyone but you seems to have understood exactly what AF was saying.

You were clear to point out to Peppy that since there was no Gamma Phi chapter there, she didn't have the authority to speak on the situation. Pot, meet kettle.

For the record? SENTENCES OF CAPS LOCK = SCREAMING.

WOW all the Sigma Kappas I know are great, warm, and fair people. I guess they aren't all this way. That's a darn shame.

Okay, I am tired of you, so this will be my last reply.

I was simply saying that we all understood from AF's post that she wasn't talking about dorms, as in where the masses live, because she further indicated the Greek Village was campus owned and even referred to people "living in the house." That gave each of us a nice image of what you are *both* referring to.

I, too, attended a university where the campus owned all the Greek Houses. The term "dorm" could loosely be thrown out to describe it (as compared to a large multi-million dollar mansion owned by a specific GLO) because the campus owned them and every semester I wrote my housing check to the university, just as we had when living in the freshman dorm.

You were waaaaaaaaaay too touchy about the situation, and way too hard on those who responded to you.

I am done.

no, not exactly, the houses are really quite nice, nothing like the crappy dorms on the other end of campus. And while that may be true for your university, it's not for UNCC. ZTA owns the house there. ZTA paid UNCC for it. Therefore instead of the check being written to UNCC, it's to ZTA. So glad I have a life outside of the internet. wowzers people!

Do you scream at your friends if they happen to be even remotely wrong about something?

Instead of suggesting AI, please take some time to familiarize yourself with the discussion in the Alumnae Initiation forum. THX.

I am making a rule that anyone on GC who suggests AI will henceforth be responsible for sponsoring the person they suggest it to for their own sorority. If their sorority does not do AI, or if they are in a fraternity, then they are no longer allowed to reply regarding AI matters.

who said I was screaming? and to answer your question no. I was a little ticked b/c AF had no knowledge of UNCC or the sororities. IMO if you don't know don't say anything. The original poster came to ask a question about the campus I rushed at. I know, therefore I told her my advice. That's all end of subject, but no, this has to be strung out just like the rest of the GC posts. Goodnight.

I didn't realize that the Greek Village was finished, because it was still showing "Under Construction" when I was at a construction seminar there TWO WEEKS AGO. If they have moved in, it's been very recent, so you know what? Stop acting like you have no idea WTF I'm talking about. I've never gone to school in NC, but I do live in the Charlotte area (which means I know plenty of UNCC students and alum) and one of my very good friends is a staff member there. GET OVER YOURSELF. How's that for caps?

Oh, and as for soing my research - not interested.:p

ETA: For the record, I was actually talking about the dorm at the very front of campus that they sororities were housed in no less than three years ago. I remember my first trip to the campus in 2004 noticing the dorm with all the sorority letters in the window.

Ok if you say so. The Greek Village has been finished for at least a year. They are newer per say, but not brand new. I know a lot of people there as well and that's not the information I have. Personally I have been in the houses last summer, speaking from experience I know they are finished.
