I could never date a guy with the same name as me! |
My name is very feminine (to me) but after looking up my name on facebook, I see there are several guys with it, too. I definitely don't like running into ANYONE with my name (my sister made it up so I didn't know anyone else in the world had it), so being with a man is out of the question.

As for me...since I've never met a boy named Sue, and I highly doubt anyone would use my maiden name for a first name, I never had to worry about it. |

Anyone here watch "Trading Spaces"? Paige Davis, the host...I remember her "Wedding Story" episode on TLC, from when she got married. Her real first name is Mindy Paige (which she said sometimes she goes by Mindy, sometimes Paige, sometimes Mindy Paige), but her husband's last name is Page. So her name is Paige Page. Not sure I'd like that. |

Gosh, if my husband had my name as his last name then I simply wouldn't take it. It's not worth the effort. He can have that, and for obvious reasons.
I know there are boys out there with my name...would I date one of them? No. The type that tend to have my name are definitely not my type. |
I don’t know if there are guys out there with my same first name, my name is Maxdiel, but could be because my name is not masculine or feminine is just unique =)
|
Highly possible that I could date someone with my same name, as it is used for males and females. Something I've never thought about, but I would be open to it.
I will say I made sure to name my daughters with decidedly feminine names so there would be no question as to their gender. I hate getting mail addressed to a male [couldn't resist the homophone!]. |
My friend's son Jesse is living with a girl, Jessa. They both go by "Jess".

Les and Leslie Parrott are pretty well know on the Christian marriage lecture circuit. They are also written several books. I heard them speak a few years ago at a conference and they made a lame joke about having the same name.
|
I knew a Gene/Jean couple for many years. I'm sure it caused them a ton of problems and it wasn't easy for their friends and co-teachers either. "Call back Gene C_." "Boy Gene or girl Jean?"
It was bad enough at my house when I was growing up: my father and one brother shared the same first name and my mother and other brother did but at least my brothers grew up and moved out! With a married couple, the confusion would go on for lots longer! |
My name is a girl's name only, so I don't have to worry about that...and my last name is very unusual, at least in its spelling, so it's unlikely I'd ever have a conflict there either. But my parents do know a couple with the same (extremely common) last name that got married. They checked to make sure they weren't related of course, but I'm sure they get jokes way too often. I wouldn't be down for that.

I doubt you would find a guy named Jessica, and I've actually never even met a guy named Jesse (personally), however my best friend's name in high school was also Jessica and we both went by Jess. That sometimes got annoying. Especially the teacher that liked to say "Hi, Jessicas!". It's funny, too, because our friends never really got over calling her Jess B. and me Jess R., even though I'M now Jess B. and she's Jess L. (and my middle initial is L, which adds that much more to the confusion).

I wouldn't seek it but if I met/dated/found that person then sure why not.
|
My name means girl in several languages so I would assume no man on this planet goes by that name!
I do know a Michel/Michelle duo and a Puck (girl) who is dating Puck (boy).. that does get confuzing... |
