I hope this isn't the end for Phil. I love him!
Still, the Hillstrand's are my favorites and Mike digs Sig the most. This has to be one of my top shows ever. It's great to watch the interactions between the men. Also, I too felt bad for the guy who listed his PO as a reference. He's probably trying hard to change his life around and this was a way to do it. I sure hope it worked out for him. |

I teared up when they did the end montage of the crew from the Alaskan Ranger and how 47 men went into the water when the vessel went down and only 42 were rescued. :(

I went to see the band that I see every week, and they played Dead or Alive tonite and my first thought was "I need to watch Deadliest Catch" and then they mentioned it. I've never been this obsessed with a tv show.

I love, love, love this show! My husband got me hooked. (Get it, "hooked"?)
I never complain about the price of crab in restaurants. If anything, after seeing what these guys go through, I think it should cost even more! |

My husband and I have been watching this show ever since it started. Anyone else noticed that it seems like the Hillstrands are a nice group and really seem to try and have fun with one another? They seem to smile and laugh a lot more than other crews.

The Hillstrands, the Harris boys on the Cornelia Marie...even Edgar and Sig on the Northwestern. But you're right, when you compare the Hillstrands to the other families, they just don't yell at each other too much. It was neat to see that one After the Catch episode and the captains talked about what they do when they're not fishing. Andy raising horses didn't seem too out there as Phil and his building bird feeders! |
i loved those bird feeders!

The bf made me watch this one year during Thanksgiving when they had a marathon. We then decided that, from then on, every year at Turkey day, we would order a pound of Opelio crab legs, and have a moment of silence for those who were lost in the Bering Sea. :) I LOVE this show.
