I think it's a "fake" plane, so that people will think that everyone is dead and "give up" the search & then the evil Dharma people or whoever can move in on the island and exterminate all the survivors, or whatever it is that they plan to do.

Edited a day later: I just realized that Dharma people were not actually evil from everything that we saw. They were just some scientists trying to research stuff. It was the "Others" in the forest who "possessed" Ben and in Ben, they found an ally to exterminate the Dharma people.

Who thinks the freighter people are part of Dharma and they have come to take their revenge on Ben?

I finally caught it online. I'm tired of all of these episodes that end without telling you anything, but I can't. quit. watching. :mad:
