are you worried about people at your school knowing that you are writing this thread? some people on here dont care, but others are really nervous about keeping their identity secret.
if you are one of those people worried about keeping your identity secret, you should edit some of your posts, like taking out your name and such. i hope everything works out for you and get your greek life home! |
oh i just realized your real name is your user name... so i guess you really cant do anything about it...
|
still waiting....
and i haven't heard anything from PanHellenic either... given i did contact them over the weekend.... |
So this is what i got back.....
Since Spring Recuitment is informal, Panhellenic does not really have anything to do with what the sororities do. The sororities do not have to tell Panhellenic when they are giving out bids or anything. New Members can be taken until March 28th, so there is really no way of knowing if the sororities will take new members up until then. If you would like, I could email the recruitment directors your name, phone number, and email address. If you would like me to do this, just let me know. Also, just keep in mind that you could always participate in Fall Formal Recruitment to get a chance to meet with all eleven sororities. i feel like i am trapped in a black hole..... with no sound or movement or anything.... = [ I WILL NOT GIVE UP THO |
I'm a little confused, you attended 2 events but have not yet heard anything back? Hmm. I would ask her to pass along your info and maybe they'll get back to you with a response.
Just so you know, it may not be every chapter's policy to notify girls if they have not been invited back or extended a bid. I know this isn't the best policy, but some chapters do assume that you'll just "get the hint" when no one gets back to you. I hope you hear something soon either way. |

But in this case she doesn't know when bids were supposed to be handed out. I agree not everyone needs to be contacted, but the least a chapter could do is clearly define when the date of the bids will be extended. No one should be completely left in the dark. A simple "Friday by 4pm, if a bid is extended a sister will personally visit you/the MD will call you/the chapter will bum rush you in the street and sing a song in your ear, etc." will do.

i don't mind the "don't tell if we don't want you." i understand that concept
its just annoying that no one knows anything about their bid day or any other events.... at my party there were 20-30 girls.... surely someone would know something.... as far as i can tell nothing has happened.... i could be wrong tho. |
I did however email my PC recruitment lady telling her to email my info to the orgs.
we'll see what comes up and thanks for the support. i really need it. my bf is in a greek.... and he has a way of not saying the right things.... even when he doesn't mean it like that. |
well good news.... and bad news...
bad news first... Jasmine didn't contact me.... good... snow white did... i'll see how that goes.... Snow White party on Sunday. and let yall know how that goes. i'll give them another shot.... = D |
Yeah, Snow White! Hope you enjoy the party.
|
So glad to hear good news! Good luck Jess!
