Is Beta Sigma Phi a service sorority? I am sorry, I am not that familiar with it.

I'm not sure about that. :) Pat Buchanan and Donald Rumsfeld's wives are Theta's as well as the co-founder of the Iowa Women's Caucus/1st female to chair the Republican National Committee (Mary Louise Epperson Smith).I could name several others who are Republican as well. U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill is a democrat however.

While the "famous" alums may seemingly be skewed in one direction politically, the membership as a whole is more than likely split evenly (atleast it was in my chapter).

Ron Paul is a LXA - I'm surprised you didn't know that.

Bill Richardson is a Delt but as usual the most qualified candidate is not the one selected, sigh.

In addition, it appears that Carol Paul (Ron Paul's wife) is an Alpha Xi Delta.

Michelle Obama is indeed an advisor and founding member from our Rechartering in 1997 here at the University of Chicago, Gamma Sigma chapter of Alpha Phi Omega.

McCain's father was a Phi Delta Theta.
