I must agree with Newbie...SEPHORA is an awesome store and it takes hours for me to make my usual rounds (even though I know everything in the store already!). Sometimes I'll go in there to buy a small bottle of cologne or perfume for a friends birthday...and then I'll come out with a bunch of makeup or bath beads for myself. And the thing I like about Sephora over here is that they have so many assistants willing to apply makeup for you!
Last night I saw an informercial that I hadn't seen in a while...it was for the AEROBED. I wonder if those things actually work..and if so, are they comfortable? ------------------ "Talk doesn't cook rice."--Someone smart Visit Alpha Gamma Delta-Delta Sigma chapter! |
Hehe, Newbie, Bubbles, and OTW are soo right...
Sephora is the best makeup store in the world!!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif Bucutie, I looked up Store locations on sephora.com, and Houston has one store: Houston Galleria, phone number:713-961-3580 HTH!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif |
aw theta-cutie you are so nice! thanks for doing that for me! i love going to the galleria but i dont go there that often- its kind of like an ultra rich and expensive mall. the next time i go though i will make sure to go in to Sephora! once again, thanks so much! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

ahhh infomercials...love them! The crazy "hurricane" hand blender has to be one of my all time favs..as well as the superslicer! I made my mom order it but I don't think we ever used it http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif The pasta machine is also one I like, carb addict that I am!
ab slide info: if you're looking for a cheap alternative I found one. There's this round 4-wheeled disc that gardeners use for arrangeing and "possibly" to scoot around the greenhouse faster, at least if it's sturdy enough. Try a hardware/lawn and garden store...I found mine at Home Depot. If you lean your arms across the disc and do the moves like the infomercials say it's just like the real thing. I usualy slide straight out and then on a diag. to both the left and right side. You do have to work a little on keeping your balance! The "riddler guy" is named Matthew Lesko...
http://go.to/animutation is a site that has poorly done flash animations. Some of which are set to Japanese Pokemon music. One of them features Matthew Lesko - its called Lesko's revenge. Its pretty funny! |
I love anything Ron Popeil puts his name to.
I miss the early days of infomercials- remember the Bamboo Steamer? But has anyone tried those pans where you use water not oil? And it bakes cakes? And fries chicken and makes COMPLETE meals? I reallllllllllllllllllly want a set of that! |

OK has anyone else seen the infomercial for Epil-Stop and Spray? Its this spray on hair remover (kinda the opposite of the spray-on hair, huh?). I am convinced they found the hairiest people in the world to do before- and-afters in this show. They are like Cro-Magnon people or something and this one guy is on there raving about the miracles this product worked on his back hair! AND THEY SHOW HIS HAIRY BACK!!! It is sooo gross because it looks more like fur than hair and it is all over him. (I was beyond grateful they spared us from from a bikini-line demo http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif )
Anyway so the whole point of this spray stuff is that you're supposed to be able to just spray it on and wipe off all your hair without waiting like you would with a depilatory. And they say it doesn't burn, it just feels like you're spritzing on water, so you can use it anywhere. So as much as I make fun of the commercial I'm dying to know if it really works. Anyone heard of or tried Epil-Stop and Spray? I LOVE Walgreen's too!!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif |
