Yeah, I wanna know what happened???

MangoJuice 09-27-2007 07:32 PM

I forgot! :o I have been so busy and 2 of my professors decided to give tests last wekk so I was not able to update on what happened.
I wanted to give a day by day update on how everythign went but I am too happy and excited (and busy) to do that so instead, I'll give you a summary of my thoughts, opinions, and the final verdict.

Meredith - They were really nice and the youngest sorority on campus. I liked the girls. In the end, I had to decide that though I made good friends here, I was not meant to be a Meredith. My roommate went here though because she knew she was Meredith before recruitment started.

Christina - My home! :D They were the girls with the totes that I saw on campus and I was alwasy attracted to their sorority and just the general feeling of happiness when I was with them.

Izzie - They were nice to me but we did not click at all. As shallow and dumb as it sounds, on the first night, one of the sisters was wearing jeans, birkenstocks, and her lettered sweatshirt while the others were dressed up really pretty. I just thought she made a really bad impression on us while everyone else looked like they had put some real effort into impressing us.

Callie - I liked them and they were my #2 choice. They were really nice and it turns out that my PX was a sister of this sorority. I felt somewhat embarrassed afterwards when I found out what her affiliation was because while I did not talk bad about them at all, I confided to her that I would much rather be a Christina than a Callie. She was really nice about it though to me and said I could call her anytime since she considered me a friend.

So the magic question is who is Christina???
Well, I am very happy and very proud to announce that I am a new member of Christina also known as...

PHI SIGMA SIGMA!!!

MangoJuice 09-27-2007 07:35 PM

Congratulations to you and Phi Sig Sig. I am so happy you found your home!!!

MangoJuice 09-27-2007 07:39 PM

Thanks! I'm really happy and excited. Everytime I was walking on campus, I would see the Phi Sigs with their shirts, totes, and cars with decals and my heart would do a little dance because I was really in love with them. Now I get to be one of them!

OleMissGlitter 09-27-2007 07:46 PM

Congrats to you and FSS! It sounds like you are truly happy!

FSUZeta 09-27-2007 07:48 PM

Scandia 09-27-2007 07:48 PM

Congratulations. One of the YS Librarians at another branch is a Phi Sigma Sigma sister.

BetteDavisEyes 09-27-2007 08:19 PM

Congrats on Phi Sig!

Also, it's good to see another ULV student on here though you're undergrad and I'm a grad student that's probably 10 years older than you. LOL! Still, have fun and enjoy this time with Phi Sig. They look to be like a really great group at ULV.

Here's their website and from what I've heard, they are now the largets GLO on campus b/c of their amazing recruitment. If you know them, can you post what quota was?

AOE2AlphaPhi 09-27-2007 08:23 PM

Congratulations! Are you comfortable revealing the other chapters?

At ULV, there's Sigma Kappa, Phi Sigma Sigma, Alpha Omicron Pi, and a local sorority that does recruitment at the same time, Iota Delta. I hope she does reveal who each was though. That would be fun.

Congratulations to you and Phi Sigma Sigma!!

YEA! :D I am so unbelievably excited right now. I thought that it might be my campus but I didn’t want to get my hopes up (although the blue shirts with yellow letters were a nice clue). I was sad that I didn’t get to make any of the parties this year, but as recruitment advisor I had more than enough to keep me busy behind the scenes.

I’ll let her decide if she wants to reveal who is who, but quota was 24. Phi Sig took 26 and is now at 81 (total is 60)

Mango- Welcome to the pyramid and I will see you Sunday at pinning!

Tara

How did AOII do? That's one of our newest chapters, and I'd love to know how they are doing!
Congratulations on Phi Sigma Sigma, Mangojuice!
