Why is someone who isn't a religious person a Christian radio personality?

They had a discussion yesterday morning on her station here in Charlotte. Basically, what she meant was that religion is all of the organized rules and sects, etc...and she's more of a one-on-one me and Jesus and nobody else type Christian. I listened to her show before she left....I don't think she's your average Christian.

I was mad that Ashley was voted out. I think that camp is screwed now and stuck listening to every word that comes out of Dave's mouth, because no one left would dare question it.

SWTXBelle 09-28-2007 09:48 AM

I hope Ashley's right and Dave soon joins her.

I really can't believe Leslie was voted off last night. Especially after Courtney and Todd heard J.Robert and James talking. Crazy.

AlphaFrog 10-05-2007 02:57 PM

I think she dug her own grave when she a)told the other team that Aaron was the leader and b)raved about how awesome the other team was.

After loosing your first challenge (and two in a row) is not the time to vote out your strongest members. However, I do think that I would have voted for Courtney rather than Leslie. I don't really think Leslie is MUCH physically stronger than Courtney, but I don't think she would have cried and fussed during the challenge like Courtney did. The only advantage to keeping Courtney over Leslie is that Courtney is eligible to sit out next challege and Leslie wouldn't have been. But that's not a good reason to vote one out over the other.

I'm having trouble finding someone to root for - but I do agree Leslie kinda made herself a target.

I not sure if some were over or under thinking their strategy for the merge.
One has to get there first. And as we have seen, numbers and strength help.
Where they too overly concerned about religions beliefs? Time will only tell.
Last season there were a bunch of Greeks on show and they never seemed to get together to kick everyone else out.

Survivor has changed up the way they do things so much that it's tougher to make these strategic decisions. IF they knew the tribes would stay exactly as they are right now until the merge, THEN they should keep some stronger guys around for a while so that they can win some challenges. However, team work can be a big factor in how tribes do also, so if there is someone who is "toxic", it may be better to get rid of them. THEN you have to factor in that frequently, there are tribal swaps. Some of those big strong guys you're keeping around to win challenges for your tribe may end up on the other tribe before a merge takes place. That's the factor that makes it a lot of guesswork. Courtney screwed up so badly. It wasn't just her lack of strength, because once she started sawing through the ropes, she got them fairly quickly. She didn't stay on task. She kept walking away from it and that is just unacceptable. If I'd been on that tribe, I'd have gotten rid of her. One thing I didn't catch though.. did anybody on her tribe know that Leslie had a clue to the hidden immunity idol and did she share it with anybody on her tribe? She could've bought herself some time with that info, I think.

stagebear 10-06-2007 10:42 AM

didnt leslie tell todd about the idol?

Yes, she did, about 10 minutes after she received the 1st clue.

AGDee 10-07-2007 02:00 AM

Ok, I missed part of that episode because I was picking up my girlie from band practice.

CutiePie2000 10-07-2007 02:29 AM

It was classic, b/c Todd was in disbelief & shock that Leslie told him about the hidden I.I. so soon after getting back to her tribe. I think she may have even read the clue to him, word for word.....so if he starts to look up at the Chinese Gate thingy that stands in their tribe area, he's going to figure it out eventually!!

I LOVED James when he was talking about reading survival books at the bookstore saying he felt like Crocodile Dundee compared to his tribe-mates. Priceless.

It also answered my question I've had year after year if the cast even had the chance to go out and do something like that. :)

You would think someone would have had that idea by now.
IIRC, TV Guide artical said that someone in this group claims to have watch all the other shows. Do not recall who it was but you would have
thought that they would have an idea or two.

I think maybe it was during the Australia season, but I'm not sure...I remember one of the castmates saying that they were mad that some of the people didn't read the survival manuals, etc that were given to them.

I think it was Todd that said he had watched all of the other Survivors. I think Leslie had too, although she didn't specify. Irony of all ironies when she was talking about one of her tribemates not playing the "social" aspect of the game.

Personally from what I have seen I still like James.... (those comments with JR I think were mostly him)

and I agree with him about the survival guidebooks.. you would think some of them would have tried to prepare themselves when competing for a million dollars.

Other than that I can not stand Courtney... she should have been voted out for her lack of effort. She just whines and complains. I would just be irritated by listening to her all the time.
