1. How has your fashion sense changed within the past 10 to 15 years? Since I graduated from college it hasn't changed much. The clothes I wear are the kind of clothes that never really go out of style.
2. What colors do you prefer to wear, what colors for you are a no...and what have you found that works best? (sidebar: when going out with a signficant other, is there a need to color coordinate with her too?) I generally don't like bright loud colors. I'm very conservative so I wear conservative colors. I don't think it's really a need to coordinate with her, as long as we're both dressed for the occasion. 3. Is there a big difference between boxers and briefs or do we just blow this up for no reason? I prefer briefs, but boxers are cool too. 4. Shaving......simply discuss....I don't like facial hair. I only have a mustache. I very rarely shave, because I don't need to. Facial hair doesn't grow fast on me. When I do shave I only use an electric shaver. I get a haircut once a week so my barber does the shaving for me. I prefer getting my mustache trimmed with a razor and my barber does the trimming. I like a very clean shave. 5. Any preference for soaps Yes. Lever 2000 6. How do you do for smell goods (colognes) I use body spray, but the colognes I wear are Annuci or Eternity. 7. Any guys get mani and pedi's? No 8. What are some on the spot things that you keep with you when you go out that may keep you at the top of your game when in good company. As long as I have a pack of Tic Tacs with me I'm good.:D 9. How are you about shoes? Large collection small collection how much do you spend on a pair? This is a big one for me. I buy my dress shoes at Johnston and Murphy. I get some of my casual shoes there too. I buy my tennis shoes at Foot Locker, and I prefer K Swiss or Tretorn. I also wear "Chuck Taylors" on occasion (white or cream only) . Price varies. I spend about $100.00 - $149.00 on dress shoes. Casual shoes range from $70.00 - $149.00. Tennis shoes range form $30.00 - $55.00. It just depends. I go to the outlet stores when I get time too. Great prices there. 10. How important is it for men to get a haircut....I'm in the barber chair once a week. This is a must for me. If my hair isn't cut every week, I'll feel unattractive. |
You have a mustache and if you don't get a weekly haircut you'll feel "unattractive"?
Guys is this thread a joke? No. Be honest. -Rudey Quote:

(Sidebar: If I have to explain to you that at the basest level, I was insulting you, then you are a lot less swift that most have thought) Get a hankey, and say wuuuuuuusaaaah 10 times LOL.... hey don't hate because your face is hair deficient....I hear estrogen does that sometimes. ~ Have a nice day Rudey |
whoa guys!
first off Rudey, there are still plenty of guys with moustaches. PLENTY. what may have left is the soul patch or the confederate soldier beard, but the 'staches are probably here to stay. my daddy just cut his moustache off for the first time since ive been born, and i'm 26! calm your nerves. 95% of women like clean men. that means clothes matching, smelling freshly showered, neat appearance. the degree of hair, facial hair, dress style varies from woman to woman. but ah, our overall consensus is not holey shirt, scruffy sandals, haven't shaved in 5 days, no hair cut, funky smelling...basically one step away from holding a "will work for food" sign. we also dont want a man prettier/prissier than us, either. if you are hogging more mirror time than me? we've got a problem. if you are at the barber shop kinda frequent, that doesnt bother me if you need to go. the mani/pedi thing for me is pushing it a bit, i think men should be comfortable getting one done, even if their girl does it for them. oh, and uh, capris on a guy are a NO NO for me...nothing personal to any of you who wear them:) |

And I agree SBX...there is a very fine and simple line bordering me looking good for myself and my woman vs trying to outdo that same woman and I think a lot of men can agree...when a guy does more to look better than the women he dates, they yeah.....he needs to be questioned. Yeah it's all in the presentation and just like some presentations....some are subtle...some are overly done Cuff links, how to tie a necktie, how to coordinate certain items of clothes for certain occasions etc etc.....there are certain things my grandfather taught me before he passed that I will want to pass on...there is no fear in discussing it...it's simply talk....so if you fear that your masculinity is in danger...then hey...there are plenty of other threads for you to post and create. |
you know, my fiance doesnt listen to much i say (no surprise there!) but one thing i turned him on to is a "work night". women know what im talking about, that one night you take the time to do all the work related trimming, shaving, exfoliating, primping, etc. for the rest of the week. now, he takes one night out of the week where he can do all that stuff and use his nivea for men and i dont say a word! he is pretty the rest of the week and everyone is happy!
we know when to use that gut instinct about our man and when his habits have crossed a line. "hmm, is that a french manicure on his toes???" or "where the hell is my mascara?" cleanliness is next to godliness. plus it will get you some serious play lol! oh and i swear, i will let your unibrow slide or your shirt stay untucked if men LEARN HOW TO TIE A TIE... |
a man who smells good can get it. Repeatedly. lol. (thinking of my HS crush back in the day)
smell is the basest emotional trigger. |
mine says "I vote Republican"
