Fraternity Live/Sorority Live

Fraternity Live/Sorority Live was one of the vendors a couple of weeks ago at the FEA Conference/Trade Show in Orlando. I had the opportunity to sit down with the four of them working for the company including Aaron.

Of the four people represented at the trade show, a couple of them are members of Greek Organizations.

My advice is to sign up and/or speak with Aaron to see if this might be something your group is interested in.

Another Vendor that was there and doing presentations and has chapters already as clients and recently was at the ZTA Conference was GIN System.

I'll be happy to answer any other questions anyone may have.

TLD221 and I want to know how are people verified. Especially if they are the first one from thier chapter. You may or may not know the answer, but facebook pictures do not mean squat. I asked how I was verified and Justin told me that they were certain that I am a member (which I am), but how is he certain? Oh well as stated before I'm sure we will forget about that site shortly.

and conversely, I wasn't verified automatically because my chapter isn't a traditional collegiate chapter (see above). Actually, I wasn't verified at all, as I was told to re-register and "post a pic in letters" as verification, and to just list myself as an Alum.

i agree with my sistergreek - pictures dont mean squat. the amount of copy and pasting I do under honest intentions on a daily basis is indicative of what ONE person, as a potential poser, could do to gain access.

I like to give most sites a try but the people behind this one just seem a little uninformed. Come back at me with v. 2.0.

You know good and well they don't have the means to verify anyone. The only thing they could be verifying is the existence of a chapter at a school. I mean, yeah they can call HQ, but without a membership number, or at the very least an initiation date (not just the year) they're not going to get far.

The part I'm not comfortable with is the potential availability of chapter financial information. Chapter business is for current chapter members, especially financial information. Neos have a hard enough time with old heads telling them how to run the chapter, the financial proof of a good or bad job is extra.

yeah that was my point in my original email to them. i mean, cant no one verify me and my SGRho are my prophytes and my HQ / Grand Chapter. Everyone/thing else is secondary and, at this point, extraneous.

I'm just calling them out on a real concern I had. I acknowledged that their set-up seems to lean more to the NPC audience, so really I could fall back. But hey, I'll try anything once, and if it's a bust (and it seems like it is) well, i'll KIM.

I LOVED their FAQ page!! It really made me trust that whomever is running this site is professional and all of my chapter's financial/personal information will be secure because "we spend $50,000 a week on security" and "your privacy is very important to us". Wow. That's reassuring.

And the customer comment page was very original. The comments from customers looked VERY AUTHENTIC. Not like the site's founder or "Justin" made them up at all.

And whoever started the site was a Pike. (because someone asked if he/she was in a GLO)

Did anyone read the FAQ that said basically "Your HQ doesn't want to know what you're doing with this website." under the question "Does my HQ support this website?"

Sign me up!
