I'm getting strange looks now. |
has anyone purchased dangles from someone other than the official jeweler for their organization? I'm not sure we have one anymore (at least for dangles but I'm looking into it) and have found a few places online but no idea if they are reputable or not

Dangles
The last ones that I purchased were from www.alphagold.com They have a huge selection, and they are pretty speedy on the shipping.

My Badge disappeared a couple of years ago so when I ordered a replacement from National it came to me with the dangles attached through the individual links of the guard chain. I really don't like the way the dangles lay when they're attached like this and eventually I'd like to take off the dangles and put them back on so that the guard chain goes through the dangles' jump rings.
A word of caution about doing this yourself...when you're pulling apart the jump rings (the little hoops that connect the guard chain to the guard and Badge and the dangles to the guard chain), be careful how you position the ends when you close it again. You don't want it opening! Here is a helpful link for if anyone is interested... http://www.fusionbeads.com/Opening-a...ng-a-Jump-Ring |
Funny.
I recently ordered an additional chapter guard and officer dangle. When I did so, they offered to attach the dangle to the guard. I said fine, thinking they were going to attach it in the chain. Then I received the items, and found they had attached the dangle to the jump ring that attaches the chain to the back of the badge. Great. I had to remove the dangle, then string it on the chain. Basically extra work. |
