I think I am going to have to start watching CNN, who didn't get all wrapped up in the madness of Paris Hilton. My sick fiancee and I have been cracking up at the amount of coverage this fiasco is getting. I only hope that the judge sends her back to jail, where she belongs.

She was just sent back to jail. And sadly I heard it from a democratic senator who had one of his assistants send it to him on his blackberry while in a meeting. Quality...

Oh, she's back to having to serve the full 45days instead of that 23 mess she had before all of this.

Looks like she's going back to the slammer. I'm frankly surprised at this b/c of how lousy our system is here in California.

Screaming Paris Hilton sent back to jail

Paris Hilton was taken from a courtroom screaming and crying Friday seconds after a judge ordered her returned to jail to serve out her entire 45-day sentence for a parole violation in a reckless driving case.

"It's not right!" shouted the weeping Hilton. "Mom!" she called out to her mother in the audience.

Hilton, who was brought to court in handcuffs in a sheriff's car, came into the courtroom disheveled and weeping. Her hair was askew and she wore a gray fuzzy sweatshirt over slacks. She wore no makeup and she cried throughout the hearing.

Her body also shook constantly as she dabbed at her eyes. Several times she turned to her parents, seated behind her in the courtroom, and mouthed, "I love you."

She had been brought to court in sheriff's custody today for a court hearing on her early release from jail after back-and-forth decisions on whether she could participate by telephone from her home.

Hilton, appearing to be in handcuffs, cried after she was placed into a black-and-white patrol car, which sped away from her home with lights flashing as news helicopters pursued, broadcasting live TV coverage.

Looks like she'll be filing an appeal come later today or Monday

On what grounds is she going to file her appeal?

The judge is already pissed off at the LA Sheriff's Department. Why anyone would want to piss him off some more is beyond me. She should just suck it up and finish the rest of her sentence.

CNN and Headline News are both covering the story -- am I hearing right that she's going to be serving her original sentence and not the 23 days one?

I read that she now has to serve the full 45 days now as well.

That is correct.

This woman is damaged goods...

I don't blame the sheriff, though. I wouldn't want her around either.

AnchorAlumna 06-08-2007 05:22 PM

That judge should be placed on the Supreme Court! Or elected President...
