One of my best friends from high school had worked at McDonalds for a time. One evening when we were both up to no good as usual, he persuaded one of his former co-workers in the drive-thru to give him a headset. Then we sat in the parking lot and told people trying to order that we were out of hamburger meat or if they ordered two number threes we would say "why don't you just get one number six" and stuff like that. When we went inside he gave the headset back to one of the workers and the manager came up there yelling at him to get out and that if he ever came back he was trespassing and blah blah blah. Of course, he's the sort of guy that you can't tell anything so he started yelling back at her. Good times.

When I worked at KFC/Taco Bell there were like 3 other high schoolers who worked with me, 3 other guys. My coworker Shawn started around the same time I did and became a whiz on drive-thru.

On their days off, my two other high school coworkers decided to come through the drive-thru and harass Shawn. As soon as I heard their voices through the speakers, I knew it was them but Shawn didn't.
They asked if Taco Bell made Choco-tacos. I started giggling furiously while Shawn asked our manager if we did choco-tacos. I completely burst out laughing at that point and was bent over double at the front register.

LOL, I was about to ask if she was talking about you!!!! :D

I remember another one. My mom and I were at Burger King and the drive-thru speaker dude asked to take our order. My mom starts to order breakfast and he interrupts her and says "Hold on." After about a minute, he walks outside, still wearing the headset. He turns the giant menu around to show the lunch menu, yells "No more breakfast!!" at our car, and goes back inside. Me and Mommy CG just stare at each other until his voice comes back on and says "Okay, my I take your order now?"

We just continued to stare at each other, then drove away without saying anything.

I went to Carls Jr (Hardee's on the East Coast) a couple of months ago their new boneless buffalo wings. The line to the drive through was WAY too long, so I decided to dine in. While waiting in line the guy in front of me had a seizure and fell right into me! I semi-caught him and laid him on the ground. Luckily his brother was there with him to handle the situation because I really had no idea what to do. I waited with them for the paramedics to arrive and by the time everything was sorted, I had to head back to work so I missed the entire meal!

One Mouse of a tale.....

In the "A" level of the basement in Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, there is located a McDonalds.

One day when one of our children was having a major procedure done (I think it was son #2..major bladder surgery..so this was November 1998) Mr Sageofages and I went down to get a meal while the surgery was happening. (It was to take about 2 hours).

We were standing IN THE BASEMENT LEVEL OF A MAJOR DES MOINES HOSPITAL IN A MCDONALDS restaurant (remember) trying to decide what to order looking up at the menu board. When a small light gray (but not white) mouse crawled along the top of the menu board. We saw it, along with about 6 other people, just crawl along as non-plused as can be. We mentioned it to the staff and they didn't even seem to care.

Needless to say...we didn't eat there and haven't since. We did send a letter to the hospital administration.

EEKKK....
