I really hope that this sort of teaches her a lesson. While she didn't hurt anyone, DUI is very dangerous and can endanger so many people. When I was in high school, I had a close friend who had an entire family (aunt, uncle, 3 cousins) that got killed by a drunk driver. The driver walked away with a few scratches.:(

Holy shit that's horrible! There was a family from one of the Detroit suburbs who had almost the same thing happen. The wife and two sons were killed when a drunk drive (who was also a DOCTOR) slammed into the back of their car. If you could have seen what that car looked like afterward... it made you sick to your stomach. The poor husband had his family wiped out but an irresponsible jackass. I don't remember what his blood alcohol level is, but I remember it being so high that he should have died from alcohol poisoning. The driver spent a few weeks in the hospital (very rare with drunk drivers) and is now in prison and won't be up for parole till I believe 2020. Two years later the husband just tries to stay as busy as possible but there are still things he can't do.

I wish more people would read the stories of surviving family and friends and learn a lesson or two. It breaks my heart everytime I hear about a life taken away by something so stupid and selfish.

i am going to go and steal a pack of Juicy Fruit and a Red Bull from a 7-11 out there, just so that i can get jail time where she is!

high 5 to the judge that thought to himself, "hmmm, im gonna stick it to that Hilton girl. I'll bet their hotel wont charge me 3 bucks again for a Kit-Kat!"

BabyPiNK_FL 05-07-2007 02:54 PM

I have a friend whose mother (good friends with my mother) and unborn sibling were taken after coming home from church (on a Wednesday! not even a weekend!) by some fool with alcohol in his system. Her and her 2 sisters were in the car and were injured badly but survived, they weren't told of their mothers death for several days. The family was from Africa and the father was very traditional and strict and their mom had always been the buffer. After she died, there was no one to help her take care of her two sisters and she ended up getting pregnant and kicked out of her house. Her home became hell for her family after her mother's life was taken. And for what?

Paris Hilton deserves everything she gets, people who drink and drive should no be allowed to repeat their mistakes! Life is dangerous enough as it is, why should anyone have to deal with the consequences of someone else's actions? Suck it up you stupid whore!

cutiepatootie 05-07-2007 08:46 PM

I am sorry the pampered little princess deserved what she got! Play the ,"I didn't know" card and it will only make the judge more upset. These celeb's need to realize what real life is and that there are consequences to your actions.

DUI is no laughing matter she needs to realize that .... so maybe with 45 days ( were talking talking day not months or yrs) she will learn and maybe even sober up and quit partying so much.

If she will serve her term... from the article I doubt it. They are appealing of course and if she is like Michelle Rodriguez she may only serve four hours.

She needs a reality check.

And I agree with everyone else... you have the money pay someone to drive you home.

How is it that buying a cheeseburger (IIRC that is what she claimed she was doing when pulled over last time.) at 11 pm with no headlights considered necessary travel to and from work? She needs to stop blaming everyone else for her idiotic choices!!

I have to agree with those people who said that this may make her more "popular" with the paparazzi. UGH! She needs to go away!

I'm pretty sure her only job is to be seen, and hey, mission accomplished.

GFY has a pretty funny take on it...

There is absolutely no excuse for drinking and driving. Absolutely NONE! There are too many irresponsible and reckless idiots in the world doing this that end up killing and hurting people and families. She should not be pardoned for whatever reason. I saw an online petition on her myspace page asking for her fans to sign the petition so that the governor of CA can pardon her.

I think people don't differentiate between degrees of driving while intoxicated.

They think of the worse things that have happened and suddenly anyone at the limit is a murderer. Regardless of how they are driving.

Thats not rational. Thats an emotive argument and can't be argued against.

this is unfortunate for her but i think it is good to show people that you can get out of things no matter how much money you have. When is she exactly going?

My buddy Sean was the prosecuting attorney at Michelle Rodriguez's trial. He received hate mail from her fans for weeks.

Besides that disappointing sex tape, Paris has made no contributions to society whatsoever and I really hope that Ah-nold takes that into consideration and laughs in her face when her lawyers ask for that pardon.

It was interesting to see celebrity reaction on Entertainment Tonight last night. Jason Priestley, who himself got busted on a DUI (DUIs?), said he didn't even JAYWALK because he didn't want to be in violation of ANYTHING.

I don't feel sorry for her. In fact, I can't wait to see what other unfortunate stuff will happen to her!

yeah... its in the siggy :D

I hope that Paris gets treated just like every other "innocent" inmate in lock-up. Having lost a 2 yo cousin to a female drunk driver (2nd DUI conviction - even though this was in 1978, she got a whole 30 day PROBATION). I think she should have had to get "I am a MURDERER" tattooed on her forehead!

I hope that stupid spoiled bitch spends all 45 days in jail and that it sucks.

She has made ZERO contribution to society, acts like she's somehow above the law, and why couldn't she hire a driver?! It's not like she's broke!

UGH SHE JUST MAKES ME SO MAD, seriously. Normally I don't care about celebrities but if I saw her in person, I would totally punch her out.

This is not true when it comes to legality, at least in IL where I'm familiar with the DUI laws (probably the same other places as well). IL recognizes 4 levels of DUIs, Level I - Low Risk, Level II - Moderate Risk, Level II - Significant risk, and Level III - High Risk (a 2nd DUI automatically places you in this category, no questions asked). Your "rehab" is determined by your level of risk. Your level is determined by a licensed DUI counselor. There are two Level II categories to give the counselors some leeway/options. There's got to be a similar system in California.

Oh, and NEVER if you are pulled over refuse the breathalyzer test. The most fancy-pants lawyer will NOT get you around a DIU because there was no BAC recorded.

Actually this depends, or so I've been told by my attorney. Maybe Texas is different than Illinois.

I know a pretty good amount of people who have refused breathalizers and just opted to go to jail. Sure, they lost their license for around 90 days (I think that is the penalty for refusing one)...but they didn't get DWIs.

.....and if you are well connected and have a good attorney....you can get out of a DUI/DWI. Don't be silly.
