Not sure why anyone would want to. Where I came from, the greek community was pretty small and everyone knew everyone. If someone was wearing LXA letters around campus and no other greek recognized him, we would hear about it.

I guess to be fair, maybe some people collect that kind of stuff. It just seems like it wouldn't have much value to you unless you were a member of that specific org. I guess if it were a badge or something it would be worse.

People will and do collect all kinds of items, that is why ebay is so big.

For those who collect GLO Pins do for many reasons. They collect for the resell. Collect for the love of lovely things. Some collect for historical value of their GLOs.

I collect LXA Badges, or things that I donate to my Chapter. I am selling LXA Badges to try to get them into the hands of other Brothers as I am needing money.

I have donated 4 Badges so far for our house auction to raise money for the chapter.

The Pins I have bought other than LXA is for the reason of collecting those who were there of the GLOs when I started the local.
I started buying just plain pins so ours would look better in comparison.

I came to the conclussion that this was not right so I purchased ones with gems and placed the others up for sale.

The Fez in question could be of historical signicance and that is why it is being bid on.

Also, many of my Badges that I have put on ebay have gone to Brothers and have offered others to them.

I am not sure why you brought this question up, but there as I said many reasons that people collect GLO items and I hope this helps to explain a little.

Yes, We all love our GLOs, and for the most part always will! I have talked several Brothers out of selling their own Badges and I am very glad. My Badge from the beginning has been placed in my will to go to the President of the Chapter and to be passed to each of the following Presidents!

So, if you have any other questions, you may PM me.

Dude, I didn't mean to put a bee in your bonnet!

And I didn't ask a question. I made a statement. I don't know you and if you want to sell your stuff on ebay, whatever. I just don't get it. It seems like those things should be less available.

Another reason for sale:

In some cases, however, the original owner may have died and the heirs are faced with clearing and closing an estate. I suspect that the fez is one of these cases. It has no meaning for the heirs, but a great deal of significance to us. Better for us to catch it on EBay and save the artifact - and that's what the fez is - rather than have it go in the dumpster with Uncle Bob's old shoes and pajamas.

As an aside, after 30+ years with the Fraternity, I know of only TWO fezzes that have survived: One in San Diego and this one on EBay. Truly something to save.

Da, not a bee in my bonnet, just trying to answer your
question! Tell you why and where for of!

If you take offense I am sorry!:)

We as LXA Brothers always invite anyone to Our Thread unless they want to start problems.

Then some do have a problem with that!:D

Hate to burst the Ebay bubble but....

Those beads he's selling is a major rip off. Just buy them directly from the distributer for half the price: http://www.greekbeads.net/lambdachialpha.php

That was a close call! Boy would my face be red if I would have bought them off ebay and then found out about this place!

PS. last 7 hours for the Fez! Pulling for Doc, hope no one tries to steal the auction at the last minute...

I have plans tonight -- I really wish I could be home to watch the fez "snipe-fest" on eBay!

P.S. I'm pulling for doc too.

Your bid beat mine in by 3 seconds...that's how you won...

Congrats - I was really looking forward to filming a future
you-tube highest rated video of myself setting this had on
fire whilst wearing it.

Brother John,

Nice Job, John! Good timing... I went to $475.50. I backed off of my original idea of $550.50. However, I think that you really, really, really wanted this one! So, I am sure you put a massive bid on this icon.

The seller is probably going nuts right now!

I will continue my quest.

Ah, The Fez!

Yours in ZAX,

Mike, "Fezless," Raymond,
ZU-Zeta
