Voting's over now. We find out if someone got saved on Friday.

But when it comes down to it, it's the networks decision to decide if it is a smart business decision to renew or cancel a show. They're not going to renew a show solely because it won a fan poll. OTH is a different story because of the new network.

What she said.

I remember when people wanted to save "My So Called Life" years ago (has it really been that long already?) and there was such a strong push to save it -- stronger than any "Save One Show" of recent years.

It still got the ax.

Networks don't give a shit about online polls.

I barely watched a OTH episode this season. I don't really care if it stays or goes because the ones that I absolutely love are safe anyway.

The CW actually said it does care about its fan because it's still a fledgling network that's trying to establish its footing. And with an official axe to 7th Heaven, they know they need some shows (aside from 30 minute sitcoms and reality shows) to keep their audience.

Due to an overwhelming amount of votes, there are two winners this year: Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars. I don't think GG will come through, but VM just might...

Fingers crossed for Veronica. They reached a much larger audience this year with the network change (myself included) and many would be devastated to see it go.
