I gathered as much. I guess I should post twice when I have 2 different comments. :shrug shoulders:

Soror Ivy's comment was not disturbing to me. I can kind of see how others might take offense to it. However, as her co-initiate, I know firsthand how she has personally struggled with her hair. Both of us had decided to get rid of our perms and go natural at one point. She didn't end up sticking with hers because she found her natural hair hard to manage. I didn't which is why I am still au naturale :D. I think the root of the problem with us (black women) and our hair stems from our inpatience or unwillngness to manage our hair.

I threw away the creamy crack and will never go back (~4 years, sisterlocks newbie 2 months today!).

Congrats on going and staying natural soror. I know that it is a difficult process. (I have been natural all my life, so I have not experienced it.) Tell your co-initiate ;) that her GC sorors are checking for her.

Soror on "Deal or No Deal"

The contestant tonight is Soror Demetres Boyd! Soror Boyd is from the Houston, Texas area and she graduated last year.

I apologize for posting this so late (I'm watching DOND!). But if you don't catch it tonite, it will repeat probably tomorrow evening or later in the week on CNBC.

Little32 12-07-2007 09:45 PM

I have watching. I want her to take the next deal they offer. She needs to take that $65,000.

I am getting emotional in here.

When the Soror in the audience was yelling at her and crying for her to take the money I got a little misty too. Soror Demetres' is one daring lady.

Velocity_14 12-09-2007 04:22 AM

When they offered her $109,000 I believe I was praying that she would take it. The most she could have won was $200,000...however she thought the $200,000 was in the case she had...unfortunately the case only held $1000. I must admit I was crying too....especially when her family kept telling her she could pay off her student loans and put a good dent in a house....Lord knows if I get some money like that the FIRST objective is to make sure I am DEBT FREE....thinking about those student loans just makes my head hurt....

Soror on Trading Spaces (TLC)!!!

Soror Lauren Makk was one of the featured designers for the episode of Training Spaces that aired this past weekend. She's great... very edgy!!!

I watched a lil bit of that episode but didn't know she's a Soror!
