I hope 2007 brings less suspect people to GC.

And I really wish people would stop misusing and abusing "..." Why use ... when . or , or ; will do.

K.

I use ellipses as an online form of pausing. How about --- or *pause*? lol That does make it hard when I do papers for school, because I know I can't use them.

Pauses, eh? Mmkay. It just annoys me when people have more of these "..." than words. It makes me not read their e-mails or posts, etc.

See, you got me because I do that all of the time too. I'll work on that.

:) This year I'm gonna put God first all I do. That's basically the equivalent for having the most fulfilling year of my life to me. Happy New Year's to all!!!!

SummerChild 01-10-2007 06:08 PM

Praying that G-D will put behind me the roughest year of my life and not it flow over into 2007. With family deaths, family infidelities, relationship problems, job problems, whew, I'm just hoping for a better year.

i can tell you what resolution im NOT going to make... to lose weight. i say it every year and i never do it. maybe reverse psychology will work its magic.

(sorry about that ellipsis CT4, i use them all the time. but i feel that way about appropriate exclamation and semi-colon use. it irks me to no end! and i believe that was an appropriate use)

ok, 2K7 resolutions.
-start being a grown @ss woman (well i have been for a while, but i mean financially - getting my own place and get serious about paying bills)
-being more active with the chapter
-start living like im 22 instead of 102 :)
-switch over to Mac (im getting a little aggy with PC)
-apply for grad school for 08 (which means take the GRE)

(its funny, ive been trying to post my resolutions on my xanga for14 hours now but ive managed todo it here in 10 minutes!)

It has been 13 days since my last soda and even though I'm feening, I WILL NOT DRINK A SODA :)

nikki1920 01-15-2007 05:50 PM

I gave up my soda habit last year for Lent, just for fun.

JUST noticed that my scalp is no where NEAR as dry as it used to be.

tld: I will be applying to grad school as well. Scared to DEATH to take the GRE. :( Will be buying the book GRE for Dummies on FRIDAY.

Wow, so many of you have posted some of the things I want to do in '07, but the one serious thing I want to accomplish is reducing credit card debt, and start saving more.

I too have given up soda since Christmas. I have not noticed a big change in my health yet, but I am encouraged about it. Glad to hear that I am not the only one. :)

The one fun thing I want to do this year is actually finish some of my needlepoint and knitting projects. I'm a crafts addict. :p

And to those wanting to go to grad school GO FOR IT !!! .

I'm 25 and it's time for me to be grown and about my business.

I hear you and I'm right there with you!!!

1. Live my life for ME and STOP thinking about what my family will think/say/do.
2. Take better care of myself: Renew Godly relationship, drink water, exercise.
3. Cultivate better relationships with friends and family, including Grad Chapter.
4. Change grad school programs. I'm not happy anymore and haven't been for a long time. Change is scary but fear is nothing but the Devil.
5. Get these finances under control: pay off car and pay down credit card.

(forum crash)

I like this topic. For me:

1. To start losing this weight I gained in undergrad and improve my health.
2. To grow closer to the Lord and to learn to accept everything he does in my life. He has opened and He has closed different doors and its hard to accept that and I pray I'll continue to learn to just accept all He does unconditionally because He does things the way He does for the best.

i hear the GRE aint so bad. and im not a fan of standardized testing.

and is there really a correlation between soda and dry scalp? cause i have some rough dandruff but never linked it to soda. i dont drink an insane amount, id say at most twice a week.

I don't like to call them 'resolutions', just my goals for 2007 and beyond:

1. TITHE consistently in finances and time.
2. Get my $ together so that by fall I can make a housing investment. ( I've been advised by sooo many that I should NOT rent if my credit and finances allow me to buy.)
3. Decide on whether I'm pursuing an MBA or Masters in Communication/PR. And start working on it sooooooon. (Any advice anyone??? PM! PM!)
4. Learn to truly enjoy each day and every person I am blessed to have it...tomorrow is not promised.
5. Stop sweating the small stuff. It's not worth the headache.
6. Stop cursing. (As in none at ALL not even in quotes, songs, or anything.)
7. Stop drinking POP. (I work for Coca-Cola.... the temptation is there.)
