LOL. Those are good ones. my uncle is a Que too. Infact, pretty much my whole family are Alphas, Ques, AKAs, and Deltas. There are no Sigmas, SG Rhos, Iotas or Zetas in the family yet. There weren't any Nupes either until my brother and I changed that in 91'. We're the only two Nupes in the family:D . Hey Nupe, I'll definitely tell my dad about the Gorillas belonging in the Mist.:p LOL.

If I see a stranger in letters other than mine, I don't break my neck to acknowledge their affiliation; its just an interesting fact. If its a soror or a bruh, I will acknowledge the affiliation and make conversation, if possible.

One day, I was introduced to the daughter of one of my mom's coworkers. I was wearing something with my letters on it and she said, "Oh, your a Delta. I'm a ___ ____ ____ . " Then she did her call to me. I was like  and wasn't sure what she wanted me to say so I just said "Oh".

Now if its someone that I am acquainted with and I am just finding out their affiliation, I think its cool. I found out that a coworker is an _____ ____ _____ and I was surprised because she didn't strike me as one although I know several. Its all good because we tease each other whenever we run into each other.

That's what makes them your family. Just like we all got an aunt or uncle who gets too drunk at the picnic and does some made up 'ol school dance. You just laugh, shake your head, and scream out, "go 'head, go 'head..."!

I think it has something to do with geographic location. Where I reside, there are not that many of US. That means that there are even less of US in the D9. So if we see ANYONE in the D9, it would be prudent to say "hello", at least.

Hayle, I am getting spoken to by other greeks in the IFC, NPC and NIC... I work with this lady for the Komen Race for the Cure who is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She's in her 60's... It's awesome.

So, we need each other in order to survive.

Within unity, there is strength...

Yeah, me too. I get acknowledged by NPC/IFC too. I try to expand my knowledge too. I remember one time a member of the IFC acknowledged me and he said he heard a lot of great things about my fraternity. I had never heard of his :o . I looked it up on the net and they had been around well over 100 years. Now I try to gain as much knowledge as I can, so I don't look shallow.
