One cure for nausea (not necessarily for hangover tummy problems): chew one or two whole coffee beans. I have no idea how or why it works, but it does!

coffee beans, sounds gross.

Oooooh...chocolate covered espresso beans. I'll have to remember that.

Seriously, what worked for me was pineapple juice. I guess it's the combination of rehydration and enzymes that was in the mix, but I've only been hung over once in my life.

When I worked as a bartender I had to save many a girl in the bathroom and it usually included pineapple juice and a cold towel to the neck.

For some reason they always felt better.

I learned that trick at a party. No cold towel to the neck for me, but the pineapple juice worked wonders.

A friend would drink a nalgene of water before she went to bed no matter how drunk she was. Works beautifully.
Hangovers are just dehydration, so as others have mentioned, drink, drink, and drink some more water.

LOL the few times I've had hangovers that were THAT bad, nothing helped but time. Usually by evening I'd be okay to have some pizza and then feel better, but oh man that sucks.

Gatorade before bed and again in the morning helps me.

[not that I'm speaking from experience or anything]

omg, the one time i was really really hungover the water coming back up was the worst! it hurt more than anything else. i puked the whole next day, it was terrible! my friend made me eat a banana and it came back up so fast that the bathroom didn't smell like puke, it smelt like banana. that was the worst day! the only thing that helped that day was flat, warm gingerale.

Gatorade is the best thing for hangover prevention. After a night of heavy drinking, I try to have about 2 to 3 big glasses before bed. It'll make you have to get up in the middle of the night to pee several times but it's better than feeling like crap the next day. Another thing that helps is eating some food. If I drink Gatorade and eat some food before bed, I feel fine the next day.

For the times that I pass out before doing all the prevention methods, I honestly haven't found anything that will cure the hangover. Sleep use to help but a couple of weeks ago I got about 10 hours of sleep after I had a few drinks and I still felt like crap warmed over the next day. Bananas helped out a lot with nausea since it puts Potassium back in your system.

I hear it works as well, but those give you the shits too.

I would think that bananas would be constipating, not diarrhea causing?

I've learned if you're hungover THAT BAD, you shouldn't really drink really cold drinks. Warm or lukewarm is better.

Bananas help cure the throbbing and the headaches and are SUPPOSED to help calm the stomach, but it's always made it unstable for me and then you know what happens next.

Drink any of the electrolyte drinks that distance runners and jocks use [amino vital, cytomax, nuun]. And have some pepto and a tylenol before bed.

I usually drink a Nalgene and take an Advil or Motrin before bed, then drink a huge thing of Gatorade in the morning.

Advil not Tylenol. Tylenol and alcohol do not mix and can cause liver failure.
