I certainly want us to celebrate the successes - so maybe a happy medium would be to post the results if you see they have matched quota or maybe those active with the particular chapters could share their successes on an individual basis. The issue we had experienced was the results showing on the report were over 20 alphas fewer than the numbers we actually had, which was great fodder for rumors. I really appreciate the consideration on this, I really am not trying at all to be difficult and I as much as anyone want to cheer along when ADPi does well on any campus!

I actually do wish more people would log onto to the private side of our ADPi website - it has great info and would remind people to update addresses and info more timely - that would save chapters a ton of money too when it is time for newsletters to go out and 50+ get returned each time due to out of date info on alums! Plus they have good discussions on those boards too!

I do not mind holding the discussion elsewhere - I know that we can only control what we put out to the public.

I'd say let's continue the discussion elsewhere :), and whatever we agree with, that's the way we go about it.

Just want to add my 2 cents :D

I don't see anything wrong with adpideltaup posting the EO results. Obviously they aren't perfect, but they are more accurate then random people or sisters coming on and saying "hey this chapter made quota" or "hey this chapter got such and such number", when it isn't accurate information.

People want to know the results and they are going to find out one way or another. I'd much rather have the EO results.

I also wanted to address a few comments....

As for the rumors that might circulate because the wrong information is put on the net about numbers and girls not wanting to join our house because of it. Unfortunately that is a fact of life (rumors) and if a PNM wants to narrowmindedly believe a rumor, then do we really want that person as a sister in the first place?

And as for Pride Online, I am a registered user, but unless I come on greekchat and say "the lion is roaring", I don't get the responses that greekchat gives me. I mean if it is a question or comment that I feel isn't suitable for a public forum I got to PO, but otherwise you get faster "results" (so to speak) on greekchat. That's why I rarely use pride online.

But whatever the general consensus is and what the mod's decide, I'll go with :D

The stats that come from EO go to a certain email list only. They are not intended for the public. If EO wants something to be public, they can issue a press release or put it on the public side of our web site.

Actually it can also be placed on the private side of our ADPi website- I'll speak to the Technology Committee about this and see about putting them there officially. Then members only could go and see them but interested alumnae can find them too. That was the main reason- for getting alumnae back interested in what's going on with their chapter- or sometimes this was the only way that an alum has heard about their chapter... and maybe this will get more people using the Pride Online side of the ADPi website :)

I don't know, IMHO I think there are other things to be making a big deal about than recruitment numbers being off.

ABC posts the recruitment results and says chapter XY made quota of 15. DEF goes to the school and knows that they actually made quota plus 5, so 20. This is the conversation that ensues...

DEF: ABC the numbers a off a bit, we actually made quota plus 5
ABC: Sorry about that I'll edit the post :D
DEF: It's all good

adpideltaup has been posting the recruitment results since September 06 and no one has had an issue until now and it's only because 1 chapters numbers were incorrect.

Seriously, no one's had an issue until now. In fact, every seemed to be enjoying getting the results.

I'm sure I'll get screamed at, yelled at, nasty pm's sent to me. Bring it on. I just feel there are others things for us to be worrying about than this.

Let's worry about keeping sisters active after college. Let's worry about getting alums involved with philanthropy activities (yeah any advice on that one I could sure use it). Let's worry about getting alums to pay remember dues. Let's worry about getting money, supplies donated to Ronald Mcdonald House.

These are things to worry about, not if recruitment numbers are off by accident.

Like I said earlier, if a PNM wants to believe that a chapter is "too small" for their liking, then let them. We can't control their thoughts. But then like I said, think about if you want someone who believes rumors to be a sister.

I actually agree with you 100%.
