Currently, I Have a 3.2 overall.
I don't know how to locate my GPA within my major on Genie. Huh. It can't be lower than a 3.0 cuz I've gotten a nothining lower than a B in all my teacher ed. courses.

And, oh, by the way, teacher ed is NOT easy. It's a lot of work. (just debunking the stereotype-"Those who can't do, teach")

Grades were posted at La Verne yesterday and I am pleased to say that I have maintained my 4.0 in grad school. YAY! :)

I completely agree with you b/c my teacher ed program is the most difficult and intense program. Just to get a credential here in California, I have had to take the CBEST, all 3 sub-sections of the CSET, 3 TPA's (Teacher Performance Assessments), the RICA exam, and my professional portfolio along with 2 sections of student teaching in both upper and lower grades.

Me too! ASA 101 was so much more fun and interesting than Math and Science 101. But I went and got a masters degree to kind of balance that out and graduated with a 3.6

Around 3.8 overall and 4.0 in my major. If I like something, I tend to be really good at it. Or maybe it's if I'm really good at something, I tend to like it. Something like that!

Soliloquy 07-13-2007 04:08 AM

I have a 3.5 (double major with a minor).

Thanks to my recent 4.0 during summer school!!!!!! I AM SO FREAKING HAPPY!

My first 4.0 at the collegiate level, and during one of the most challenging English classes with one of the toughest professors on campus.

I am so estatic that I can't sleep... obviously... hehe :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I finished my Master's degree with a 3.77 GPA :)

Man, I hear you on that one.

I didn't have a major disease, but a bad reaction to a medication I was on sent me home a semester with a couple withdraw-fails on my transcript. And then I just couldn't get out of that "hole" for the next couple semesters--school + trying out new meds for a chronic migraine problem = GPA sudden death and a couple other semesters where I had to withdraw before they ended.

Luckily, freshman year for me was a 4.0, I never moved beyond "academic probation" or under a 3.0 cum, and I'm headed into what should be my senior year with a 3.27. (I just reached junior status, though.)

Just please for the love of all things holy, don't ask about my in-major GPA!

How is that even possible? As far as I know, there is no way that could happen. Unless there are some school systems that hand out 4.5's, which would be ridiculous.

Technically it is possible...at least at my high school it was. What happened at my high school was that everyone who got higher than a 4.0 (like me) took a lot of AP classes. What we were told was that for every pre-AP class you got 8 extra points, and for every AP class you got 10 extra points. So if your GPA said that you got a 100 in AP English, they add the 10 points so it becomes a 110.

So a lot of us (especially who were the top 10 people) had GPA of 3.999999-4.5ish.

But I do know that there are schools in the country that go on a 5.0 scale.
