Since this thread has already been unnecessarily bumped, I'll throw my two cents in and completely hijack it. I think this is probably the case with several stars who are widely rumored to be closeted. Paraphilias and fetishes are much more common in men then people would probably expect (although they are very rare in women). Some are actually extremely dangerous to people (like pedophilia and zoophilia, etc) but many are completely harmless, but are so far removed from the actual act of sex with either gender that normal sex is pretty much impossible.
The really sad thing is that many of those people still feel romantic attachment to one of the genders and are in every other way completely normal, fun and successful men. But their inability to have sex can easily preclude any normal sort of relationship.
I actually know somebody who is very close to me who is in this case, and everybody has declared he is gay because he always finds a way to get out of having sex with women (and believe me, he is incredibly attractive and has what I'd call an alpha male personality, so this is fairly common). I'll admit I thought that he was gay too, until he confessed to me during college. It is really sad because his paraphilia doesn't hurt anybody, but it is far too weird for the overwhelming majority of women to deal with. He has always had romantic attraction and crushes to women, but apparently has never been able to be able to sexually satisfy them remotely.
I'd like to think I'd be noble enough to stay with a guy like that if I really loved him, but I'll be honest in that I would freak about the possibility of never being able to have kids. I think it is really sad. It is also admittedly interesting though because I think it shows that sexual imprinting is very different between the genders. Maybe they will figure out why this happens so much more frequently in males as we learn more about the brain.
