Does anyone know of any recordings of other songs from our songbook? I play drums so I can read the rythms from the songbook, but not the notes.

ZAX,
Chip

When we were posting the songs we looked to see if we could find any of the other "traditional songs".... but it looks like no one has recorded any of them (and having heard some it's probibly a good idea :) ).

The actual songs were converted from a CD that an ELC brought up here to Toronto on his visit; I pretty sure it was Peter Newhouse.

Great link, thanks!

What do we mean in the All Hail song by...

"Till mid the battle's din"

or

"lead us a-right for aye"

Thanks!

ZAX,

Chip
BN 281

"Tll mid the battle's din"

That basically means when the sh*t hits the fan, or when the going gets tough.... so no matter the trials we are there for each other.

"lead us a-right for aye"

This means guide us right, sir.... this is an older terminiology which means as I stated: "put us the right path, sir (or other honorific).

That is from my chapter I believe

Cross and Crescent, spirits high

number one fraternity

Lambda (Chi)
Lambda (Chi)
When I say number, you say one
Number (one)
Number (one)
Lambda Chi is number one!

Hope it helps

That is from the RPI chapter. We sang it when we gave out new bids to the rushees.

I think our chapter has a book of songs somewhere that we found a while ago.

re: Spirit C&C High

The song with "Spirit C&C High" has been used at Georgetown
(Kappa-Omega) as well...my guess is, where ever it originated,
it must have made it into a national song book at some time.

What about Kenney Chesney's "Keg in the Closet"? That's about Lambda Chi.

ZetaPhi708 01-28-2005 12:41 AM

i have a song here...

used to sing it a lot...but I don't know if the active chapter still sings it...( no offense if there are women present on this board )

When you are with your favorite sweetheart,
Under the moonlight's glow,
Put one hand upon her busom,
And the other down below,

When she starts to scream and holler,
And she asks you why, ( Oh, Why < in a high falsetto > )
Tell it's the secret handshake
of Dear Old Lambda Chi....

Chapter Songs/Chants

Well, we've got a couple of songs that we sing/chant to get our moral boosted and to have a good time.

---

That's about all the ones we sing. Please feel free to e-mail me some good ideas for more, and I'll be trying to come up with a good, completely original one, that can be used universally.

"Hidy Tidy"
Hidy Tidy!
G-d Almighty!
Who the hell am I?
Wham! Bam! I'm a Lambda Chi!
A Lambda Chi's a helluva guy who does not give a damn!
He goes to school & breaks the rules & fails his damn exams!
To hell, to hell with Sig Ep!
To hell, to hell with Sigma Nu!
If you are not a Lambda Chi, to hell, to hell with YOU!
Hell with you! (Hell with you!)
Hell with you! (Hell with you!)
Adam was the first man, we ever did let in!
Socrates the wisest to ever wear our pin!
Hercules the strongest, great pillars did he pitch,
And if Caesar was alive, we'd rush the son of a bitch!

"Roll Your Leg Over"
(One of my brothers heard this on a radio somewhere, and we adapted it. If you want to sing it, you have to make up your own verses. The only thing that stays constant is the chorus. Other than that, have fun crackin on your chapter members!)

Chorus: (To be sung after EVERY verse)
Roll your leg over,
ROLL your leg over,
ROLL YOUR LEG OVER,
AND FUCK ME TILL DAWN!

Verses: (Each are only two lines. I'll give you a few, and then have fun!)

If all the young girls were stars in the sky,
They'd pull down their pants, and fuck Lambda Chi!

If all the young girls were like Arabian soil,
I'd whip out my dick, and drill 'em for oil!

(The next two are ones we made up about some members of our chapter)
For all the young girls in the most perfect of health,
Trey will hit on them, then cock-block himself!

If all the young girls were like Alpha-Chi Kim,
They'd get a boyfriend, then fuck Jim again!

"I'm an Asshole"
(Needs to change from chapter to chapter, based on what other fraternities are on campus)

I'm an asshole, I'm an asshole,
I'm an asshole through and through,
But I'd rather be an asshole than a fucking Sigma Nu!

I'm an asshole, I'm an asshole,
I'm an asshole on the go,
But I'd rather be an asshole than a Kappa Delta Rho!

I'm an asshole, I'm an asshole,
I'm an asshole till I'm gone,
But I'd rather be an asshole than a Sigma Phi Epsilon!

I'm an asshole, I'm an asshole,
I'm an asshole till I die,
But I'd rather be an asshole than a Pi Kappa Phi!

I'm an asshole, I'm an asshole,
But who the hell am I!?
Wham Bam Thank you ma'am!
I'M A LAMBDA CHI!

That's about all the ones we sing. Please feel free to e-mail me some good ideas for more, and I'll be trying to come up with a good, completely original one, that can be used universally.

Ripping on other houses....very classy
