If you can't invision the outfit I'm thinking of, watch some 1985-1986 era Facts of Life reruns. You'll shudder...Trust me.

If anyone ever tries to bring back the "BIG" hair of the 80's, I will slit my wrists. I am originally from Georgia and I think that us Georgia girls had the biggest hair this side of the Mason Dixon line.

Oh but it will come back..... b/c it was such a good idea the first time! Will we bring back the music as well? Truly that was the only good thing about the 80's.....

It's already back. *cough* Kelly Clarkson ripping off Madonna c.1989 *cough*

And yes, I do have stirrup pants, but I only wear them when on a horse!

As much as everybody is ripping on the 80's...

would you rather have grunge/babydoll dresses/unwashed hair back?

Yuck.

In response to the above... I'm so happy... 'cause today I found my friends... :)

Trying to figure out which of these is the lesser of two evils.

Olivia just looks so much happier. Must be all the jazzercise.

Let's get physical... physical...

The cami's built in, along with a mesh thong. Stylin'.

ETA: And KillarneyRose, 2 weeks ago, I went shoe shopping and saw jellie's being sold. In a cute little boutique no less. Right next to some sexy stilettos. What is the world coming to?

OK, this has veered WAY off topic, so I'm moving it to CC where I'm sure the fun will continue...

Hi!
I was actually asking for recruitment attire advice... sorry I didn't mention that.

In the first day, we're supposed to wear the recruitment t-shirts and jean skirts, and I wanted to make sure that what I had bought was okay. I have a short, dark blue jean skirt with no rips (because I think rips look trashy). I've also been contemplating black leggings, since I've been seeing them in a lot of magazines. But, I'm still undecided.

tunatartare 07-31-2006 04:41 PM

I personally wouldn't wear the leggings.

33girl 07-31-2006 04:43 PM

I agree - for the first day, if for no other reason it's going to be tons of people and HOT.

How short is short? You might have to sit on a floor, or, more likely, sit on a chair while others sit on the floor and if it's too short you'll be worried about them seeing up your skirt the whole time.

Though all that depends on the school. In my school, 1st round was in the student center, so there were no chairs. We all stood. But if it was at the house, then I'd worry about the sitting situation.

And I have seen tons 'o leggings in NYC. With skirts. In the heat. It's tragic...:(

OHHHHH so many comments to make!

1) leggings work on my 6th graders, they work on some adults who want to look "hip", but on 95% of the women of the world they are a no-no. I just don't think they would look professional enough for recruitment.

2) Dark denim is much crisper look for making a 1st impression in. Plus you can always wear it since dark denim is a "staple" wardrobe piece.

3) Too short just plain a no-no for recruitment, if you are worried about how you are sitting or you flash a PNM this can be a bad impression to make. Knee length or just above the knee shows more class IMO.

And if you wear a skirt on the shorter side, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE wear panties. And not a g-string or thong. Full coverage. You don't want to do a Basic Instinct.
