I hate it when people...

...come to work sick (like with the flu..I can't "afford" to be sick too!!)

...look shocked when I wear colors like red and blue...just because I'm an AKA doesn't mean I don't like other colors :rolleyes:

...talking loud on their cell phone (you are not automatically "cool" because you have a cell phone..the 5-block radius of people do not need to be in your conversation...)

...tell me that my daddy must be "dark", because my mom is "bright" and I'm brown...WTF??

i am the same way about people that say they are going to do something and they don't. That's definately my biggest peeve also.

others:
- when people try to tell me how i'm supposed to pronouce words because of my New Orleans accent (i like how i talk)
-people that try to start mess
- when people are fake
- when people are rude
- people are disrespectful
- people remind me all the time that i'm young
-

-when someone steps on my toes or the back of my shoes
-when kids have dirty, snotty noses and their mothers don't even do anything about it
-people who try to sing songs and don't even know the words so they mumble
-and most of all the phrase "my bad". That is NOT an apology!!

I don't sound like I'm from the hood but I am. People judge me and then quickly see why they should leave me alone:mad: :D

I'm glad you mentioned "wasn't good enough"; I'm tired of classifications without knowing ch!t about the person.:mad:

Here are my pet peeves:

-People assuming I am conceited because of the following:
-in a sorority
-light skinned
- in college

-When people ask me why I chose Zeta instead of ABC or XYZ but then go on to say I look like a member of ABC

-When people want to play in my hair

-Drama Queens

-LOUD individuals

-Wonder why I wear pink or red like it is a sin

-Ladies who are dressed to impress but kids are dressed horribly

-People with a lack of common sense

-slow drivers

-Uneducated individuals

I hate it when people:

Don't say excuse me and reach over you.

Allow their kids to wreck the beauty salon and not say anything to then until the beautician says something.

Put their filthy paws in food that is supposed to be served to everyone and expect me to eat from it.

Don't wash their hands after using the restroom.

Couch all over my neck b/c they didn't cover their mouth. Trying to spread Sars and TB. Yuck!

Ask me why I chose Zeta b/c I don't look or act like one. Please tell me why people are still stuck on silly stereotypes! Get educated!

Okay not to step on toes but,
-fake people
-liars; if you can't be straight with me, but don't talk to me, why waste time?
-know-it- alls; they just know the answers to all of life's questions...
-ignores you when you're alone; but act like you're an old friend when they run into you and you're not alone...don't speak now!
-doesn't know how to properly discipline their child, sometime a pop on that butt is not a bad thing

Im definitly feeling u on that I have dreads and people constantly ask can u wash them? are they hard to manage?

my minor is black studies and people think that Im against every white face on earth too.
