How about I just saw a little girl my daughter goes to school with wearing those doctor shoes? When did they become stylish? It doesn't look like they'd be comfy if your feet sweat. :(

My sister in law,who is a nurse and on her feet for several hours a shift, swears by her Dansko's. They don't look very comfy to me. I told her to buy a pair of Birk's instead. Crocs are the ugliest things ever. I don't care how comfy they are.

Danskos are better than Birks for standing long periods because of the way they elevate your heel. I have to stand up for longish periods of time, so they're a godsend. At least I can look somewhat professional in them, which I can't say for Crocs.
