My address is technically Marietta GA, but I could throw a stick and it land in Atlanta, so go figure....

I have an 800sq ft single bedroom apt, and I pay $539 a month for it. Water, trash and sewage is about $35.00. Gas/electric combined is anywhere from $75-$150 per month(depending on the season). Extended Cable/Internet is $95.00. total of $744-$819 per month. Oh wait, not including laundry - which is a dollar per load to wash and dry - so thats probably another $20 or so per month.

Where in Marietta is this? I have 100 more sq ft and pay about $150 more.

Interesting...I live off of the Cumberland Blvd exit, on Cobb Parkway...Does your complex have a website?

if that link doesnt work, go to www.aimco.com, click resident sign in, then find a community, click on Georgia on the map, and then choose community "Spectrum Pointe"

Also, for some reason, the 1 bedroom floor plan that I have is not shown on that website. The one they show is a little bit bigger SQ ft wise, plus is has washer dryer hookups. I dont have washer dryer hookups (I was seriously broke and on a budget when I moved in) but I LOVE my apartment. Its perfect for me. If youre interested enough to check it out and are looking at 1 bedroom plans, ask to see them both.

Here you pay $1 a square foot for an average apartment.

One would plan to pay $1.20 - $1.25 for an upscale or really new apartment community.

Of course utilities would be extra

I live in Fairfax, VA. My townhouse is 1,742 square feet, and we pay $1800 rent a month...which is a steal, considering that the owner is paying a $3200 a month mortgage. For this area, compared to all of my friends, my rent is ridiculously cheap for how big my house is. Thank god there is no renter's market right now! In my last house, my rent got lowered twice in the 6 months I lived there because our landlord was being fair to the other renters prices on our street.

It is crazy to think that a 3 bedroom townhouse has a listing price of $579, 900 though! As for utilities, it comes to about $200-$300 a month.
